Panasonic has launched Eluga Switch, its latest smartphone in the Eluga Series.The unique feature of the phone is that it is reversible and lets you speak even when the phone is held upside down. It has JBL powered 1.2W dual front speakers with Hi-Fi sound quality and dual microphones. The 3D audio technology ARKAMYS, ensures excellent tonal quality, rich bass and a natural sound, said the company. Alcatel OneTouch introduced its IDOL 3 smartphone with a similar feature earlier this year, and this smartphone looks similar to it.

Airtel launches 4G LTE services in Kochi, Kerala

Airtel has launched its 4G LTE services in Kochi in Kerala. It launched 4G services in 296 towns across India earlier this month, after running 4G LTE trails in the country. Airtel 4G is available to customers across mobile phones, dongles, 4G hotspots and Wi-Fi dongles in the city. Micromax‬ Canvas Nitro 4G E455, the latest smartphone in the Canvas Nitro series is now available from Indiatimes Shopping. It packs a 5-inch HD display, similar to first two Nitro smartphones, but this is powered by a 1.4 Octa-Core processor. Image of the retail box posted by Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh Telecom says it’s a Snapdragon 400 processor, which is weird since Snapdragon 400 is actually a quad-core 32-bit processor. Chinese smartphone maker ZOPO recently announced that it will foray into the Indian smartphone market on August 26th with the launch of its flagship Speed 7 smartphone in the country. It already announced it has appointed Advantage Computers India Pvt. Ltd. (ADCOM) as Indian distributor and its smartphones will be sold exclusively through an online retailer and also through offline stores in India.

It expanded to 7 new cities, Bhubaneswar, Coimbatore, Indore, Mysore, Nagpur, Surat and Vizag last month and present in Bangalore, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh and Kolkata and Kochi in India. The original Micromax Canvas Xpress was announced in December 2014 at a price of Rs 6,999. The successor, the Canvas Xpress 2 was announced late last month at a price of Rs 5,999. Don’t be fooled by the pricing as the Xpress 2 seems to pack in a lot more than the original despite being Rs 1,000 cheaper than the former. However, mere specifications and a cheaper price tag alone doesn’t mean a phone is better than its predecessor or that it is a good buy at the time. We need to see how well it fares in real life and for that we need to dive into the review.
