Micromax has launched new smartphones in the Bolt series that includes, Bolt S302, Bolt Q331 and Bolt Q338. All these smartphones have dual SIM support and 3G connectivity. The budget Bolt S302 and Bolt Q331 smartphones run on Android 4.4 (KitKat) and have 4-inch WVGA and 5-inch FWVGA screens respectively. The Bolt Q338 that already surfaced on the official website packs a 5-inch HD display, is powered by a quad-core MediaTek processor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). Lenovo has launched the Tab 2 A7-20, the company’s latest budget tablet in the A-series in India. It has a 7-inch (1024 x 600) IPS display, is powered by a 1.3GHz Quad-Core MediaTek SoC and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat), which is upgradable to Android 5.0 (Lollipop). Lenovo launched the Tab 2 A7-30 with 3G and voice calling in India earlier this year, but this comes only with WiFi support. Micromax invests in Gaana, to pre-install app on its smartphones

Micromax has invested in Times Internet’s Gaana music streaming service. As a part of this investment, Gaana app will be pre-installed on all new Micromax smartphones. New users will get a free trial of premium service Gaana+, which offers unlimited music streaming without any ads. Gaana has 20 million active users and over 30 million downloads, said the company. The financial terms of the investment has not been revealed.

Lenovo has sent out invites for the launch of its Vibe P1 and P1m smartphones with huge 5,000mAh and 4,000mAh batteries, respectively. It has a 3.1GHz quad-core Intel Core i5  (Turbo Boost up to 3.6GHz) with Iris Pro Graphics 6200 and 1TB hard drive, compared to the 1.6GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor (Turbo Boost up to 2.7GHz) with Intel HD Graphics 6000 and 1TB of hard drive on the standard 21.5-inch iMac model. Sony Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium launching in India on October 21

Sony has sent out press invites for the launch of the company’s latest Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium flagship smartphones in India on October 21st. Both these were announced at the IFA last month in Berlin. These smartphones pack a 23-megapixel rear camera with 1/2.3″ Sony Exmor RS image sensor, f/2.0 aperture, Sony G lens, Hybrid AF speed of 0.03s, 4K video recording and a 5-megapixel 1080p front-facing camera with EXMOR R sensor.
