Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 4 with Snapdragon 625 in India running MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) back in January earlier this year starting at Rs. 9999. Now the company has finally started rolling out Android 7.0 (Nougat) update for the smartphone along with the MIUI 8.5.4.0.NCFMIED OTA update as nightly build, which Xiaomi calls Beta Stable release before the final update. Panasonic today launched Eluga A3 and A3 Pro smartphones in the ‘A Series’ in India. These have a 5.2-inch HD screen, runs Android 7.0 (Nougat), come with a 13-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel front camera, fingerprint sensor on the front and pack a 4000mAh battery, but the A3 comes with quad-core MediaTek MT6737 SoC, while the A3 Pro is powered by Mediatek MT6753 SoC. These phones also come with ARBO virtual assistant.

Lenovo today launched K8 Note, the company’s latest ‘Note Series’ smartphone in India, as it had promised. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p screen, similar to the K5 Note and the K6 Note, but this is powered by a Deca-Core MediaTek Helio X23 SoC, making it the first smartphone with the processor and runs on stock Android 7.1.1 (Nougat). It has 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash along with a secondary 5-megapixel camera to capture depth information for bokeh effect.
