iVOOMi has launched iPro, the company’s latest budget smartphone with 4.95-inch FWVGA+ 18:9 aspect ratio shatterproof display. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek SoC with 1GB of RAM, runs Android Oreo (Go Edition) but it still has Smart Me OS 3.0. It has a 5-megapixel front and rear cameras. It doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor, but comes with face unlock.

OnePlus has started teasing the company’s upcoming OnePlus 6T flagship smartphone in India. The company shows a short TV ad during the India vs Pakistan Match on Star Sports. The ad featuring Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan who was roped in as the company’s brand ambassador last year, even shows the back of the phone. It also shows curved glass screen with curved corners.

Xiaomi has launched the Red edition of the Mi A2 that joins the Black, Gold and Blue variants that were launched last month. This comes months after the introduction of the Red Edition of the Mi 6X smartphone in China. OPPO’s sub-brand Realme launched the Realme 2, the company’s second-generation smartphone in India last month. During the first sale the company said that it sold 200,000 or 2 lakh units of smartphones in just 5 minutes on Flipkart. In the second sale last week it said that it sold 170,000 or 1.7 lakh units with combined sales of 3.7 lakh units in first two sales.

Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCO launched the F1 smartphone last month, and the phone first time on Flipkart and Mi.com from August 29th. Now the company has confirmed that it will launch the phone on September 24th. It has a 6.2-inch 19:9 aspect ratio Full HD+ display with a notch, has dual rear cameras and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor with a Motorola logo. It runs Android 8.0 (Oreo) and the company has promised Android 9.0 (Pie) update as well as Android Q update for the phone, as well as security updates for three years from the initial global launch date.
