Xolo, at an event in Delhi officially launched the Era 4X budget smartphone. It also introduced the Era 5X, which the company says is a budget selfie smartphone with a 13-megapixel front camera with LED flash and AI studio mode with sudio lighting modes like the iPhone. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera, ha a 5.7-inch HD+ screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 Protection. It is powered by MediaTek Helio A22 12nm Quad-Core SoC and has Dual plate graphite layer to reduce heat.
OPPO has silently launched R15 Pro smartphone in India. It was originally introduced as R15 Dream Mirror Edition in China last year. It has a 6.28-inch FHD+ 19:9 aspect ratio OLED display with a notch with a 1.78mm narrow frame and 90% screen-to-body ratio. It calls it Super-V Display. It is powered by Snapdragon 660 SoC with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage.
After announcing price cuts for Mi A2 and Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphones earlier this week, Xiaomi has announced second price cut for the Redmi Y2, selfie-focused smartphone in the country, after its first price cut in November this year. After Rs. 1000 price cut, the Redmi Y2 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version now costs Rs. 8999 and the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version is available at Rs. 10,999. It has a 5.45-inch HD+ screen with a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass protection, run Android 8.1 (Oreo), feature an 8-megapixel rear and a 5-megapixel front camera, both with LED flash, Dual 4G VoLTE and a 3000mAh battery.
