We are just minutes away from the Xolo X1000 launch in Goa, where we are live blogging the event, but looks like somebody jumped the gun and outed the X1000 in its full glory on the company’s website. It has now been revealed that the device will sport a 2 GHz Intel Medfield Z2480 system on a chip instead of the rumoured Clovertrail chip. Xolo claims this is the fastest phone, but since we have already seen phones(like the Motorola Razr i) sporting the Z2480 chip, we beg to differ.
XOLO has been teasing its upcoming Smartphone for the past few days under the Mission X tagline.The company is claiming it will launch the Fastest Smartphone ever today in Goa. The phone is expected to be based on the all new Intel Clover Trail+ platform.

The Department of Telecom (DoT) may ask Bharti Airtel to stop 3G services in 7 circles in India, according to a recent report by Economic Times. DoT had already sent a notice to Airtel to stop their 3G services in these 7 circles including, Haryana, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh (East), Kolkata, Gujarat, Kerala and Madhya Pradesh. Samsung Galaxy Y Plus has surfaced on the official Samsung India website. Samsung announced the Galaxy Pocket in March last year, that launched in India in April. Details of the Samsung Galaxy Pocket Plus (GT-S5301) surfaced earlier this year, but Samsung did not announce it officially. Nokia India has partnered with New India Assurance (NIA), a leading global insurance group, wholly owned by the Govt. of India to launch handset insurance plan. This would let you safeguard your device against thefts, burglary, malicious acts, riots among others, as well as damage. It starts at minimum insurance premium of just Rs. 50, and the plan will cost 1.25% of the purchased handset’s value. It has a 4.65-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) Super AMOLED Plus display at 316 ppi, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Cortex A7 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It packs a 8MP auto focus rear camera with LED flash, Auto panorama (99 pictures in one click), 720p HD video recording and a 1MP front-facing camera. iBall has a launched the Edu-Slide i1017, the company’s new tablet in the Edu series aimed at students. It has a 10.1-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) IPS display and is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual core processor with Quadcore GPU. It has a 2MP rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera. This would compete with the 10-inch tablets, the Spice Stellar Pad Mi-1010 and the Videocon VT10. Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL) that nationally operates its telecom services under the MTS brand has announced that that have won spectrum in the 800 MHz band in eight circles including Delhi, Kolkata, Gujarat, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh (West) & West Bengal. Nokia Asha 310 that was announced last month is now available in India from the official Nokia Shop. It is the company’s first affordable touch screen phone with Dual SIM support and WiFi connectivity. It has a 3.0-inch (240 x 320 pixels), scratch-resistant capacitive touch screen display, 1 GHz processor and a 2 MP rear camera. It runs on S40 Asha OS with Swipe UI and comes with 40 Free EA games including Tetris, Bejeweled, Need for Speed The Run and Fifa 2012. Just weeks after launching the BlackBerry Z10, BlackBerry’s head honcho in India decided to resign the job, effective immediately. Previously known as Research in motion, the Waterloo company recently launched its revamped smartphone efforts with new devices based on the BlackBerry 10 operating system. The BlackBerry Z10 was launched in India with a hefty price tag of Rs. 43, 490 and it was supposedly sold out within two day, with BlackBerry scrambling to refill the chain with a fresh inflow of devices. But, after all this, it has been revealed that the BlackBerry India head is resigning today.
XOLO has launched the Q800, the company’s first quad-core smartphone officially. It went on sale from online retailer Flipkart yesterday. It packs a 4.5-inch (960 x 540 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor with PowerVR SGX544 GPU and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It packs a 8MP rear camera with LED Flash, BSI sensor, 720p HD video recording and a 1MP front-facing camera. It has a YAMAHA 168 PA music system for enhanced audio experience. It has several music player options such as Shake to change the song and Auto filter in music settings to filter the songs based on their size. Xolo has started teasing their upcoming X series smartphone on their Facebook page. This is the company’s upcoming flagship device in the X Series. Xolo launched the X900 last year powered by a single-core Medfield Atom processor. The upcoming Xolo smartphone might be powered by a Clover Trail+ platform featuring a dual-core CPU and dual-core PowerVR SGX 544MP2 GPU. Xolo launched A series smartphones last year, and the Xolo Q800, powered by a quad-core processor went on sale yesterday.
