Asus MeMO Pad 7-inch Tablet with Android 4.1 launched in India for Rs. 9999

Asus has launched the MeMo Pad (ME172V) in India. It was announced last month, and comes with a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive multi-touch display, powered by  a 1GHz WonderMedia PRIZM WM8950 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 1MP front-facing camera with BSI sensor, 720p HD video capture at 30 fps and ƒ/2.0 aperture. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 310 and Tab 2 311 get a price cut, now available for Rs. 15999 and Rs. 12599


Samsung India has cut the price of both their 7-inch Galaxy Tab 2 Android tablets. The Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy S Duos smartphones got a price cut earlier this month. Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab 2 310 in India back in May last year at a MOP of Rs. 19,500 and the Wi-Fi only variant, the Galaxy Tab 2 311 went on sale in India couple of weeks back at Rs. 13,900. Konka, a popular Chinese manufacturer has entered into Indian market with 2 Android Smartphones, Konka Expose 960 and Expose 970. These  are powered by 1 GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6577 Processors and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Airtel to launch Voice services for 4G LTE customers in Pune


Airtel has announced that they would launch voice services for 4G TD-LTE customers in Pune soon, through its existing GSM network. Airtel is the only operator in India to combine voice with TD-LTE services through GSM network. Airtel launched their 4G LTE services in Pune last  October, followed by Kolkata and Bengaluru. Nokia Siemens Networks would deploy its Circuit Switched FallBack (CSFB) voice solution in the operator’s live TD-LTE network in Pune. BlackBerry Z10 launched in India for Rs. 43490

BlacBerry has finally launched the BlackBerry Z10, their first BlackBerry 10 smartphone in India as we announced few days back. It was announced last month, and we unboxed it earlier this month. It comes with a 4.2-inch (1280 x 768 pixels) multi-touch IPS LCD display at 356 PPI pixel density. Sony bags Katrina Kaif as brand ambassador for Xperia Smartphones


Sony India has announced Katrina Kaif as its Brand Ambassador for Xperia range of Smartphones.  Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor was announced as Sony’s brand ambassador, when Sony Ericsson XPERIA and VIVAZ phones were first launched in India back in 2010. Sony aims to boost the brand’s visibility in India with this new signup. Katrina Kaif was seen launching the BlackBerry Curve 9220 in India last year, but Ranbir Kapoor was roped in as the BlackBerry brand ambassador last year. Samsung Galaxy Camera price drops to Rs. 26000


Samsung has cut the price of the Android Jelly Bean-powered Galaxy Camera, which  is now available for Rs.26,000 in India. The Samsung Galaxy Camera was announced at IFA, Berlin last August and  launched in India last November for Rs. 29,900. LG Optimus G now available in India for Rs. 30990


LG Optimus G (E975) is now available in India from online retailer Saholic.  The LG Optimus G was announced back in August, which went on sale in Korea in September 2012.  It has a 4.7-inch (1280 x 768 pixels) True HD IPS + Display with 15:9 aspect ratio, 1.5GHz quad-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 APQ8064 processor with Adreno 320 GPU, 13MP camera with an LED flash, 1.3MP front-facing camera. Lava Iris 502 with 5-inch display, Android 4.1 now available for Rs. 8499

Lava Iris 502, a new Dual SIM Android  smartphone is now available from online retailer Saholic. It has a 5.0-inch (480 x 800 pixels) capacitive touch screen display similar to the Lava Iris N501 that was launched earlier this year, but this runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It is powered by a 1 GHz processor and comes with a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3MP front-facing camera. Lava E-Tab XTRON Unboxing

Videocon launches 6 new SuperNet data plans starting at Rs. 5

Videocon Mobile Services has launched 6 new SuperNet 2G data plans. Videocon says that these SuperNet plans offers upto 3 times more internet data than other service providers. These are aimed at bringing connectivity, entertainment and knowledge for the emerging Indian market, especially the students and working professionals.
