Lava has launched the Iris 356 and the Iris 402 that went on sale online earlier this month. The Iris 356 has a 3.5-inch (480 x 320 pixels) display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). The Lava Iris 402 packs a 4-inch (480 x 800 pixels) display. Other features are similar to the Iris 402. These have 3G support, Dual SIM with dual standby, rear and front-facing cameras. Micromax launched the A111 Canvas Doodle back in May. It is the company’s first smartphone in the Canvas series to come with a stylus. It has a 5.3-inch (854 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display,  powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 MSM8625Q processor similar to the Karbonn S5 Titanium and the Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro. It runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean).

Samsung Galaxy Smartphones and Tablets to get support for 9 Indian languages

Samsung today announced support for 9 Indian languages for their Galaxy smartphones and tablets. This would let the Samsung smartphone users to access the user interface and content in these languages. The 9 Indian languages include, Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi and Gujarati. These Indian languages will be supported on Galaxy Grand, Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy Tab 3 starting from today. HTC One Dual SIM now available in India for Rs. 46495


HTC One Dual SIM surfaced on the HTC India website earlier this month. We reported that the smartphone would release in India soon. Now online retailer Flipkart has started selling the smartphone in India. It has similar features as the HTC One single-SIM variant including a 4.7 inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display,  1.7 GHz quad-core processor,  Android Jelly Bean with Sense 5, UltraPixel camera with LED Flash and a 2.1MP HD front-facing camera. In the Nokia Lumia Smart Buy Back offer users get Rs. 6000 discount on Lumia 620 and Rs. 4000 discount on Lumia 520, in exchange for old smartphones. Nokia Lumia 925 gets a pre-order price of Rs. 33999 in India

Nokia Lumia 925 that was announced back in May, is now available for pre-order in India at a price or Rs. 33,999 from online retailer Flipkart. It has a  4.5-inch (1280 × 768 pixels)Pure Motion HD+ Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen ClearBlack display, powered by  a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and runs on the latest Windows Phone 8 with the Amber update that adds glance screen and other new features. The Lumia 925 went on sale back in June starting from Germany. It packs a 8.7MP auto focus rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), dual LED flash and 1080p HD video recording at 30fps. It has  6 element lens and supports upto 3200 ISO.

Lenovo A1000, A3000 and S6000 Android Tablets launched in India, priced between Rs. 8999 and Rs. 27000


Lenovo has launched three new Android tablets in India. These tablets were announced earlier at the MWC 2013 and the A1000 went on sale in India from the official Lenovo online store last month. The A1000 has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core MediaTek MTK8317 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a SIM card slot with 2G data support, voice calling capabilities and a VGA front-facing camera. The A3000 also has a similar 7-inch display, but it is powered by a quad-core MediaTek 8125 processor. It also supports 3G and voice calling.
