Sony Xperia tipo and tipo dual officially launched in India for Rs. 9999 and Rs. 10499


Sony has officially launched the tipo and the tipo dual in India. Both these phones were announced in June and went on sale in India earlier this month. These phones havea  3.2-inch (480 x 320 pixels) 262k color TFT display and is powered by 800 MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. These devices would come with 500 MB of free 3G data per month for three months for Vodafone subscribers, which is valid till 31st December 2012. We reviewed the Sony Xperia tipo recently. Here is the unboxing of the Xperia tipo dual, Sony’s first dual-SIM Android Smartphone. It was announced in June along with the tipo and packs in similar features as the single SIM version including a 3.2-inch (480 x 320 pixels) 262k color TFT display, 800 MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS. Samsung Galaxy Note 2 to hit Online Store on September 27 in India

Samsung is gearing up to launch the upgraded version of the immensely popular Galaxy Note – Galaxy Note 2 in India later this week.  Samsung had opened pre-bookings for the device and consumers could reserve a Galaxy Note 2 by paying Rs.5000 as an advance.In an email to customers who had pre-booked the phone on the company’s eStore , it is mentioned that the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will be launched on the 27th on the eStore.The Note 2 has some interesting specs including a 5.5 inch display and a 3100 mAh battery and a Quad-core CPU.

Sony Xperia tipo Review


Here is the FoneArena review of the Sony Xperia tipo. Sony announced it in June and we unboxed the device last week. It packs in a 3.2-inch (480 x 320 pixels) 262k color TFT display and is powered by a 800 MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It is slightly larger than the Xperia mini and Sony has replaced the hardware buttons with the capacitive touch buttons. Idea launches AURUS Dual SIM 3G Android Smartphone for Rs. 7190

Idea Cellular has launched the AURUS, their new Dual-SIM Android smarphone. It has a 3.5 inch (320 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and runs on Android 2.3 ( Gingerbread). It is powered by a 800MHz processor and has a 5MP camera, front-facing camera for video calling . The 5MP camera in the phone uses software interpolation that enlarges the captured image resolution beyond the actual resolution by adding extra pixels. Samsung Galaxy Note 800 Review


Here is the FoneArena review of the Samsung Galaxy Note 800 (Note 10.1). It was originally announced at MWC 2012 earlier this year, but Samsung upgraded its specs when it launched. It launched in India in August. It packs in a 10.1-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) TFT display, 1.4 GHz quad-core Exynos processor and runs on Android 4.0(Ice Cream Sandwich) with the TouchWiz UI on top. Samsung Galaxy Note price drops to Rs. 29990


Samsung has cut the price of the Galaxy Note, that is now available from official Samsung eStore for Rs. 29,990 in India. The Samsung Galaxy S3 got a price cut last week, but compared to that this Note 2’s price cut is not huge, since the Note was launched in India at Rs. 34,990 (MRP) last November. Sony Xperia SL now available in India for Rs. 30999


Sony Xperia SL is now available from online retailers Flipkart and Infibeam in India. It appeared on Sony Website last month and looks similar to the Sony Xperia S but it powered by a faster 1.7 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 processor and comes with Android 4.0 out of the box. Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Pre-Booking starts in India

Samsung has just started Pre-Booking for the much awaited Galaxy Note 2 on it’s India eStore. The device which is the successor to the original Note was unveiled last month at IFA Berlin along with the Galaxy Camera. The phone has a 5.5 inch display and runs Android JellyBean out of the box. Samsung is asking for Rs.5000 as an advance payment for the pre-booking which will be adjusted when the device goes on sale later this month. Winknet launches Ultimate and Wonder 9.7-inch and 7-inch tablets running Android 4.0

Winknet has launched 2 new tablets, Ultimate (TWY300) and Wonder (TWY100) in India. The Winknet Ultimate has a 9.7-inch capacitive touch screen display and the Winknet Wonder comes with a 7-inch capacitive touch screen display. Both these tablets are powered by a 1.5 GHz processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Winknet Ultimate features a 2 megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel front camera, while the Wonder sports a 0.3 megapixel front-facing camera.
