Videocon VT75C, the company’s latest Android tablet with 2G and voice calling support is now available from Infibeam. It has a 7-inch ( 800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen, powered by a 1 GHz processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) . It has a 2-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera. It has 2G voice calling support and data connectivity via SIM card slot, 3G support via USB dongle and packs a 3000 mAh battery. Most of the features in this tablet are similar to the Penta T-Pad WS707C that was launched in February. Samsung Galaxy S Advance has got a huge price cut in India, and is available for Rs. 14,500. It was announced in January last year, and launched in India last April at a price tag of Rs. 26,900 (MRP) running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It was selling at Rs. 17,500 earlier this month. Samsung announced the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update for the device last year, which rolled out starting from Russia earlier this year. Micromax Canvas HD now in stores, with fresh packaging, costs more

Micromax has been in a lot of news recently from unexpected demand for its Canvas Android phones to its legal tussle with Ericsson over patent infringement for over 100 crores . The company increased the price of Canvas HD A116 to Rs.14499 from Rs.13990 due to increase in customs duty. Now the stocks of the Canvas HD are finally hitting retail stores and we could find it at few retail shops in Chennai. The retail packaging has got a fresh new look.

Nokia launched the Lumia 520 in India last week. Online retailer Flipkart has put up the device for pre-order at a price tag of Rs. 10,499. It wasunveiled at the Mobile World Congress in 2013 in Barcelona last month, and appeared on the Nokia India Shop online portal earlier this month, which still says ‘coming soon’ without any price tag. It has a 4-inch (800 x 480 pixels) display with 2D hardened glass, and is super sensitive touch for finger nail and glove use. Xolo has officially launched the B700, the company’s new Android smartphone with a 3450 mAh battery which offers 363 hours of standby 20 hours of talk time on 3G, up to 38 hours Music Playback via internal speakers and up to 86 hours via wired headset. Xolo promises 9 hours of video playback while using internal speakers and up to 10.5 hours while using a wired headset. The Xolo B700 went on sale online last week.

This would be much useful for native language speakers with feature phones read emails and understand the functionality inside Gmail in their own languages. Google had introduced support for Indic languages for their apps. Google Translate for iPhone got support for 5 Indic languages back in 2011. It has a 4.3-inch (800 x 480 pixels) AMOLED ClearBlack display, 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor and runs on the latest Windows Phone 8 OS.
