Swipe Telecom launched Swipe Konnect 5.0, the company’s first Android smartphone in the Konnect running Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) last week for Rs. 8999. Today the company has announced that it has started rolling out Android 4.4 (KitKat) update for the smartphone. In addition to better performance and UI changes, the smartphones also has customizable UI which can be personalized with multiple effects, themes and transitions. Karbonn has officially launched the Titanium S1 Plus, that company’s latest budget smartphone in the Titanium series. Xolo Q1000 Opus 2 with 5-inch qHD display, Snapdragon 200 processor now available for Rs. 9780

Xolo launched the Q1000 Opus, the company’s first smartphone powered by a quad-core Broadcom (BCM23550) processor back in December last year. Now the Xolo Q1000 Opus 2 is available from online retailer Snapdeal. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 (MSM8212) processor and has a 5-inch qHD display, compared to FWVGA screen on the Q1000 Opus. Intex has launched Aqua 3G, the company’s latest entry-level smartphone with 3G support in the Aqua series. Reliance Jio to begin expanded 4G trials in August, phased launch in 2015 across India

Reliance Jio Infocomm, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) would begin 4G rollout in phased manner in 2015. This was announced by Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of the Reliance Industries at its 40th Annual General Meeting today. The company would begin expanded trials in August across multiple cities, which would continue through the end of 2014 and early 2015. Airtel launched its 4G LTE services starting from Kolkata, back in 2012. Today it has launched 4G on mobile in the city. Airtel would also offer live demos in Airtel’s company operated stores and also let users to upgrade to 4G SIMs. It offers separate 4G packs for prepaid customers and offers Airtel myPlan, customizable plans for postpaid customers that has myBoosters with 4G benefits.
