Karbonn Opium N7 and Opium N9, two new smartphones in the new Opium series are available from online retailer HomeShop18. The Opium N7 has a 4-inch WVGA screen, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, features a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The Opium N9 comes with a 5-inch HD screen, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Both these run on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) OS.

Amazon launched its New Kindle Paperwhite earlier this year priced at Rs. 10,999. It is now available for Rs. 8,999 on Amazon in India for a limited period. The 2nd generation Paperwhite was announced back in September 2013 and has a the same 6-inch (1024 x 768 pixels) display at 212 PPI pixel density with built-in light. It has a new display technology with higher contrast, the next generation built-in light, 25% faster processor and new touch technology with 19% tighter touch grid so that it respond even more accurately to the smallest touches. Now the smartwatch is available for purchase on the Google Play Store in India at the same price. The Gear Live Smartwatch runs on Android Wear, has a 1.63 inch (320 x 320 pixels) Super AMOLED display, powered by a 1.2 GHz processor and packs a 300 mAh battery that promises one day battery life. Airtel today launched its new 3G dongle that would offer download speeds of up to 21.6 Mbps on 3G. This lets users create a Wi-Fi hotspot easily by plugging it into a laptop, phone charger or a car stereo. This can be shared with up to 5 devices simultaneously. Earlier this week Amazon India said that it would bring the Samsung Galaxy K zoom to India exclusively. Amazon India has just announced that the camera-centric smartphone would be available for pre-order on its website for Rs. 29,999 starting today midnight. It would launch in India exclusively on Amazon.in on July 9th, 2014 and the pre-orders will ship on the same date.

The Xolo Q1010i got the Android 4.4 (KitKat) update few days back. Today Xolo has released the Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) update for the Xolo Q1010 as it promised in May. The Xolo Q1010 was released back in February running Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Xolo promised Android KitKat update for a range of older devices including, Q700S, Q3000 and more. Hope Xolo would roll out the KitKat updates for its older devices soon since it already started selling smartphones running Android 4.4 out of the box.
