Xolo launched the Q600, the company’s latest Android smartphone in the QCORE series last month at a price tag of Rs. 8999. We brought you the unboxing of the device recently. Here we have the benchmarks of the device. The Q600 is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek 6589M processor with 238 MHz PowerVR SGX544 GPU and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has 512 RAM, instead of 1GB RAM in other Q series devices. Let’s find out how the devices scores in several benchmark tests.

The Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 that launched in India for Rs. 25100 is now available Rs. 23,400 from the eStore. Lava E-Tab XTRON Plus Benchmarks

Lava launched the XTRON+, the successor of XTRON recently. We brought you the unboxing of the device recently. Here we have the benchmarks of the tablet. In terms of display and processor it is similar to the XTRON that includes a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive multi-touch IPS display and 1.5 GHz dual-core RockChip RK3066 Cortex A9 processor and Mali-400 MP GPU. However the tablet runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). Most of the benchmarks scores are almost similar to the first XTRON tablet that we reviewed earlier this year.

Smart Namo Phablet with 6.5-inch 1080p display, 1.5 GHz quad-core processor coming soon

Earlier this week Smart Namo, Android smartphone named after Gujarat’s Chief Minister, Narendra Modi was announced. These devices are expected to come in 5-inch display, 1.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek 6589T processor and Android 4.2. These would come in four variants – 1GB RAM and 16GB ROM, 2GB RAM and 16/32/64GB ROM. Now the Smart Namo Facebook page has posted specifications and images of the upcoming 6.5-inch phablet. It would come with a 6.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) display, powered by 1.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek 6589T processor and run on Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean). It would have a 13-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED Flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It would be  9.5mm thick and pack a 3150mAh battery. HTC One Dual SIM spotted on HTC India website

HTC launched the HTC One, their flagship smartphone in India back in April. Now the HTC One Dual SIM has appeared on the official HTC India website. Other than the Dual SIM support, other specifications would be similar including a 4.7 inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display,  1.7 GHz quad-core processor,  Android Jelly Bean with Sense 5, UltraPixel camera with LED Flash and a 2.1MP HD front-facing camera. The Xolo Q800 was the first phone in the QCORE series that was launched back in March. We reviewed the Q1000, the company’s flagship smartphone recently. The Q600 has a 4.5-inch (854 ×480 pixels) FWVGA capacitive touch screen display at 217 ppi, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek 6589M processor with 238 MHz PowerVR SGX544 GPU and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean).

Sony Xperia Z Ultra gets its first software update

Sony Mobile has started rolling out the first firmware update v14.1.B.0.471 for the recently launched Xperia Z Ultra (C6802). The stock firmware is 14.1.B.0.461, so this might be a minor change. The baseband version and the kernel version has a minor change. The new firmware has a build date of July 19th. There is no changelog so this might be a an update to fix some bugs and improve the performance of the device. We did not notice any changes or any new apps on the device after the update. Sony Xperia Z Ultra Benchmarks

Sony Xperia Z Ultra Benchmarks

Sony launched the Xperia Z Ultra, their latest flagship Android phone with a 6.44-inch 1080p display and a Snapdragon 800 processor in India earlier this week. We brought you the unboxing of the device recently. Here we have the benchmarks of the device. The device is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974) 28nm HPm quad-core Krait 400 CPU clocked at 2.2 GHz and Adreno 330 GPU. As you can see on the image above CPU-Z says that it is clocked at 2.15 GHz. We brought you the benchmarks of the Snapdragon 800 few months back on a reference smartphone. Benchmarks of the Xperia Z Ultra is almost similar to the test device. This one is under clocked a bit from the original chip that is clocked at 2.3 GHz.

HTC officially launched the Desire 600 Dual SIM last week. We brought you the unboxing of the device earlier this week, here we have the benchmarks of the device. The phone is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 MSM8625Q processor with Adreno 203 GPU similar to the Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro and the Karbonn Titanium S5. It has a 4.5-inch super LCD2 display at a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels at 245 PPI pixel density and runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) with HTC Sense 5.0 UI. Let us find out how the phone performs in various benchmarks.

We had reviewed the Lava E-Tab XTRON earlier and found it to be a pretty decent tablet for a really low price. But the company has improved upon the original and has labeled it the XTRON+ that launched recently, and as usual, we have unboxed it to show you what the differences and the box contents.
