Asus launched the Zenfone 5 smartphone in India last month along with the other smartphones in the Zenfone series. It went on sale on Flipkart and authorised Asus channels soon after the launch starting at just Rs. 9,999, but it went out of stock on Flipkart in just four days after the launch. Today, the company has announced that the Zenfone 5 would be back on stock on Flipkart with 10,000 units available for sale starting tomorrow, August 9th. Asus announced three devices under the Zenfone series at the CES in January this year. These phones come in screen sizes ranging from 4 to 6 inches. ASUS, the Taiwanese manufacturer, has been in the Android race for quite a while now, at times, experimenting with form factors and convergence. Niche markets aside, like any other company, ASUS also caters to the mass market crowd which just wants to pick up a smartphone. Along those lines, the company revealed three devices, with various screen sizes, ranging from 4 to 6 inches in screen sizes, but with identical user experience. These devices under the “Zenfone” range were announced way back in January during CES, but are only starting to appear in the retail market. Amidst a flurry of Android and Windows tablets and laptops, Asus unveiled a new series of Android smartphones at CES 2014. The new series of smartphones, Asus ZenFone series, comprises of three smartphones – ZenFone 4, ZenFone 5 and ZenFone 6. Each of the smartphones is named based on their screen size and all these offerings fall in the entry and mid-range category. Despite being different in terms of internals and sizing, the three smartphones share almost a similar design language and you can check out the comparison between the three devices in the video right below.
