At the Nokia N97 Event we got a chance to test the iPhone 3G along with the N97.Since the N97 is seen as a iPhone Killer or even iPhone 3G killer from Nokia (5800 achieved great success as an iPhone killer atleast in the music phone market ) . The situation is interesting now because both iPhone 3G and N97 are going to selling in the same price band of Rs.30000-35000.($600 approx for unlocked phones).

The aging E90 Communicator has just received a firmware update from Nokia after almost Eight months and is now at v. 400.34.93 up from v. 300.34.84 which it received in October 2008. The details of Firmware changes have not yet trickled out but as always one can expect the firmware update to make the device faster, more stable and fix some bugs. Nokia today released a firmware update to its latest QWERTY E-Series handset the E75. The current firmware for the device stands at V110.48.125 up from v100.48.78. The firmware update is available via the Nokia Software updater and also Over The Air(OTA). The OTA update is around 5 mb and would be a breeze if you are using wi-fi or 3G but it might take some time on EDGE connection. The device supports UDP(User Data Preservation) so none of your contacts messages etc will be deleted but we still advice you to make a backup of the device before updating

Here it is, the most awaited and anticipated Nokia device of this year. The N97 is upon us, with its glorious 3.5″ touchscreen, its numeric keyboard, its amazing slide and tilt design, its widgets and 32GB of internal memory. The N97 is here, and here are some images of the device in its awesome white color, as well as a few poorly-lit images of the N97 black silver color (the last 3 being taken by the Nokia 5800). We won’t say a lot, and will let you enjoy the pictures. The images speak for themselves when a handset is so beautifully designed.

We were at the Nokia N97 Launch Event in Bangalore yesterday and we got a great opportunity to talk to Axel Meyer, Head of Nokia Design. The N97 was showcased to bloggers in the event.
Axel gave a presentation about the N97 which featured some great videos like the making of the N97 which you might have seen before.There was a lifesize N97 on the stage and even the background had the Phone’s design.
