The Search for N Contest to Win a N97 has officially come to an end at 8 am today. Nokia India has picked the 2 winners from each website. The winners will be contacted by Nokia by SMS and Email. Here are the 2 two lucky winners from FoneArena.

Congrats Varun goyal, Manish Aggarwal. The Contest was Very Interesting and SuperB. It was a Nice Contest. Expecting more contests from Nokia and FoneArena. Thanks to Varun for hosting this contest in his site and for informing the users through mail and SMS.
This was not fair…some of them the winner names didnt had even surnames… none of the winner had ever commented in comments section…ok tat was not necessary ..but not a single winner on all 4 sites ever commented !!

@ navin.. its sounds like u really wish to take out your angst against Fonearena.. who thought of organizing this contest for the benefit of its readers in the first place!!!!!
the rule clearly said that u have to answer all 5 days to be eligible for the prize..
also, buddy no offense but it is really unprofessional of you to blame or suspect Fonearena and its author.. considering that the fact that its a credible technology blog.. had u won it.. u wud have said something else. this does not show you in the right disposition.
please learn to be happy about others.. these are consumers who have won it and it’s one of you.. so why there is a need to do this blame game?

No offense, i still don`t understand how were the winners selected?
Suppose this is my record
1st answer = 8:04
2nd answer = 8:02
3rd answer = 8:03
4th answer = 8:04
5th answer = 8:01
4+2+3+4+1 = 14 mins
So my Total Time was 14 mins .. did they select winners with minimum Total Time?
or did they consider answering time for individual questions ?

It’s a contest.One has to follow the conditions of the contest and participate. Every individual who participates in it can’t win.
there is no compulsion to the contestant to comment on each question unless you are asked to comment.
As a matter of fact, contestant should not disclose the answer in comment section in any contest if anyone does then the contestant must be disqualified. the winners like Varun and Manish are right and hence you won’t find their names in comments page. they just participated in the contest and answered them in a appropriate place. Please do not discourage the organiser and the sponsor for your bad luck.
Mr.Varun, Keep conducting such contests and try to ask complicated and interesting questions. Anyway I enjoyed contesting in this competition.

I look forward for change in menu and other UI on future models from Nokia. I personally love Sony Ericsson’s UIQ OS and it’s performance and am sorry to say that such OS is no more.

HI Varun, I know some users can be annoying but thats just natural. Well I like the way you responded to him. As a suggestion, I think you can stop answering him here and just delete or block him. And someone made some calculation about time and said he submitted all answers in 14 minutes. Well thats his computer clock time and not the server time. And how many others would have submitted earlier. Its funny. Anyway all fellow users, there are always winners and losers in a competition, but all that counts is your participation and being a part of it. Lastly, thumbs up Nokia, thumbs up FoneArena Team.

hey mayank.. if ur talking abt N97.. then it will ship with some preloaded widgets like Blogspot, Zook, fitness meter, India today, rediff money etc.. all these are available for free on n97 and come pre-embedded ..
have heard that all these will be available via ovi store and consumers can purchase in inr soon

It was fun going through the early morning rush . I simply loved Even though I did not win the contest ( I never win contests). The post contest reactions were Expected but not to this extent . Well all this is part of life. I would like to heartly thank Nokia and Fonearena for bringing this contest to life.

I wish one feature in Nokia phones since many years:
That if we’re watching a video and then lock the phone (thru Auto Lock feature or otherwise), only the video display should stop but the audio should keep playing. This way we could listen dialogues or songs of a film which we are– for any reason– not able to watch (may be we’re in a bus or something).
The same thing happens in music, the phone gets locked but the music keeps on playing. Why not in Video? Because if we wanted to stop video we could do the same thru Stop button, couldn’t we?

Hey Varun…My friend recently purchased the N97 his came with a normal stylus not the USB one and he didn’t even get the polishing cloth which are shown in the N97 unboxing video.Did you get those.
