Foxconn Employee Commits Suicide After Losing 4G iPhone Prototype

Mobile Phones are some of the consumer products with the greatest hype and thus most consumers love news, photos or any information regarding future phones and products. Many models of handsets are leaked to the public while some are kept secret till the moment of announcement.

One such example was the 1st Generation iPhone which was kept a secret till the last moment. Rumours were doing the rounds about the phone but nothing about the features or any photo leaked. Then when people began to write off the rumours, Apple made the announcement with a bang creating tremendous hype.

But today we hear the sad news and wonder whether all this secrecy is worth it. According to sources, 25 year old Sun Danyong, an employee at Foxconn committed suicide. The reason for this is because he lost a 4th Generation Prototype of the Apple iPhone which was entrusted to him to be shipped to Apple. AT&T to offer unlocked iPhone 3G without contract

Finally its happening!

Since the launch of first gen iPhone on AT&T network, we were all waiting for this to happen. March 26th will mark the arrival of unlocked no-contract iPhone 3G in US market.
Yes, if the leaks are supposed to be believed, AT&T will offer unlocked iPhone 3G, without any contract obligations. You just need to be an existing AT&T customer, and can purchase the iPhone with no in-store activation required.

The price is 599/699 dollars for 8/16 GB respectively. This is much more than the current contractual price, but gives its customers an option of selecting their best usage plan, unlike the iPhone pre-definced plans.
Also, the price is relatively cheaper than the unlocked iPhone available in Hong Kong and Italy.

Nokia Ovi Store vs Apple App Store – an indepth comparison

Since Nokia announced the Ovi store at the Mobile World Congress this year, speculations have been rife about the success of this store in comparison to the already well-established and popular App Store from Apple. The N97 will be the first phone integrated into the service, with the remaining phones following when the system goes live in May.

We take a deeper look at the speculations and give you an insight into what’s in store for the end-user and beneficiary of what is clearly the big software battle between two giants.

First the similarities: Both Apple and Nokia offer a 70% revenue share to developers.

Differences: Apple began its App Store as a request from the public and developers to be allowed to develop products for the iPhone while Nokia is opening an application store to stream revenue into the company with a share of app sale prices, and to potentially push the sales of cellphones and smartphones.

LG KF300 launched in India

The same handset has now been launched in the Indian market in the price band of Rs 8,500. The reason for the after-thought launch by LG is unknown.
