Motorola DEFY+ JCB Edition launched in UK

Motorola has launched the JCB Edition of the DEFY+, rugged Android phone. They announced the DEFY+ last August and launched last September. This JDB edition has visco-elastic protective sleeve from JCB that are capable to withstand extremely demanding conditions and rugged outdoors. The feature are similar such as 3.7-inch (854 × 480 pixels) capactive touch screen display 1 GHz processor and Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) Operating System. Samsung Galaxy S2 WiMAX launched in Japan

Samsung has launched the Galaxy S2 with WiMAX support for KDDI au in Japan. They have already launched the LTE version in Korea and USA. This CDMA phone comes with a 4.7-inch HD (1280 x 720) Super AMOLED Plus display, 1.4GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It is about 9.5mm thick and weighs 139g. Notion Ink releases Android 4.0.3 Alpha ROM for Adam

 

Notion Ink has released the Android 4.0.3 Alpha ROM for the Adam tablet. They teased ICS on the Adam last month. They have fixed most of the bugs such as Audio, Sensors, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, SD Card Mount, GPS and it also has Hardware Acceleration in this Alpha version. Sony Xperia S up for pre-order in UK, arriving in March


Sony Xperia S that was announced last week at CES 2012 and the first Android phone under the Sony brand is now available for pre-order in UK from online retailer Clove. The Sony Xperia S comes with 4.3 inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine, 12MP camera with LED flash with full 1080p HD video recording,  1.3MP front-facing camera with 720p recording, 1.5GHz dual-core processor and Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS that is upgradable to Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) in Q2 2012. LG and Capcom brings Street Fighter IV HD to Android, launches LG Cup Global Championship

LG has already announced that they would team up with Capcom to bring Street Fighter IV HD to LG android smartphone. Microsoft signs Patent Agreement with LG for Android and Chrome devices


Microsoft has announced that they have signed a patent licensing agreement with LG that covers LG mobile phones, tablets and other electronics running on Android and Chrome OS Platform.  Microsoft has already signed agreement with others Android and Chrome OS OEMs such as  HTC, Samsung and Acer and 7 others, and LG is the 11th company to join the club. Samsung Omnia W Unboxing

Huawei MediaPad to ship with ICS, launches new MediaPad Color Series

Huawei has announced that MediaPad tablets would ship with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). They claim that this is the world’s first tablet to come pre-loaded with the new Android 4.0. They launched the MediaPad last June as the first Android 3.2 tablet. They have also launched new MediaPad Color Series that would run on Android 3.2 (Honeycomb). Viewsnic has announced ViewPad 10pi, dual-boot tablet and ViewPad 10e Android tablet at the CES 2012. The ViewPad 10pi has dual-boot option that runs on both Windows 7 Professional-based Tablet and Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It comes with 10.1-inch capacitive multi-touch and runs on 1.5GHz (Oak Trail)  Intel Atom 2670 processor and is the successor of Viewpad 10pro that was unveiled at MWC 2011. Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy Tab 620, their new Android Honeycomb tablet in India. It appeared on online retail sites last week. It has 7-inch WSVGA(1024X600) PLS LCD display and is powered by 1.2 GHz Dual Core Processor. It runs on Android 3.2 (Honeycomb) and is 9.96mm thin, and weighs 345g. It has 3 MP Auto focus camera with LED Flash with 720p HD video recording @ 30 fps and a 2 MP front video calling camera, 1GB RAM, 16 GB Internal memory that is expandable up to 64GB with MicroSD.
