OnePlus released Android 8.0 (Oreo) Open Beta for OnePlus 3 and 3T last month and said that it will release the update for its OnePlus 5 users soon. Yesterday at the OnePlus 5T launch event Brian Yoon, Head of user experience design division at OnePlus confirmed that the OnePlus 5 will get the Android Oreo Open Beta update this November. He also said that there are over 250 closed beta testers and over 15,000 open beta testers. HTC was one of the first OEMs to confirm Android 8.0 (Oreo) update for some of its top-end devices and even released U11+ earlier this month with Android Oreo. Today the company has started rolling out Android 8.0 (Oreo) update for its flagship HTC U11 smartphone starting from Taiwan. The changelog is simple that mentions Android 8.0 (Oreo) update and VoWifi support for Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) customers along with enhancements and bug fixes. Android 8.0 Oreo adoption rate climbs to 0.3%, Nougat hits 20.6%

The latest Android distribution numbers for November are in, and they show that Android 8.0 Oreo is now on 0.3% devices, while Nougat retains to close to 17.6% devices. Though features wise Google is doing a great job, it is the adoption that is moving slow.

Google rolls out November Android security update for Pixel and Nexus devices

Google has started rolling out new over-the-air (OTA) update for Pixel and Nexus devices and also posted factory images as part of monthly Android Security release. The latest update this month fixes several critical issues in Framework, Media framework, System and components and also fixes KRACK WP2 Wi-Fi protocol vulnerability. LG V30 Android 8.0 Oreo update rolling out through preview program in Korea

LG introduced the V30 smartphone at the IFA in August running Android 7.1.2 (Nougat) and it already promised to offer Oreo update for the phone. Now LG has started rolling out Android 8.0 (Oreo) update for the V30 users in South Korea through LG OS Preview program. It is available for all the carriers.

Razer today announced the most expected Razer Phone at an event in London, months after it acquired Nexbit. The phone packs a 5.72-inch Quad HD  120 Hz UltraMotion display delivering fastest refresh rates and smooth graphics suitable for gaming. UltraMotion’s adaptive refresh technology synchronizes the GPU and display to remove image tearing or lag while driving efficient power usage, says Razer.

iPhone X will be available from Airtel Online Store starting November 3

Airtel today announced that the iPhone X will go on sale on Airtel’s Online Store starting 6.00 pm, November 3, 2017. It will be available exclusively to Airtel postpaid customers as an unlocked device on a first come first serve and full payment basis, till stocks last, said Airtel. It will also deliver the phone in 21 cities across India free of charge to customers’ doorstep. The company did not introduce any special plans for the iPhone X.
