Microsoft said in December last year that the Windows 10 update for the Lumia devices has delayed till early 2016 following which it said that the roll out is further delayed till February. Now, it is reported that the update will hit the Lumia phones as early as next week.

Opera has updated its beta app for Android to version 36 that brings several new features, including a new tab switcher with a modern look and a better underlying structure to allow optimized resource management. Opera says it is still working on perfecting it, but it it asking beta testers for their feedback. The update also lets you make progressive web apps easier to find on the web. It will automatically allow compatible web apps like the Flipkart Lite to be added to the home screen.

OPPO teased its upcoming flagship R9 smartphone recently. Now both the R9 and R9 Plus smartphones have been certified on TENAA in China. These smartphones have a 5.5-inch and 6-inch 1080p AMOLED displays, respectively as rumored earlier, but doesn’t seem to have a quad-core Snapdragon 820 or Deca-Core Helio X20 SoC. It is a point of debate as to which handset is the superior one, LG’s G5 or Samsung’s S7 and S7 Edge. However, what is almost certain is the fact that the LG G5 has more innovative features and USPs thanks to its modular design. LG had quite a disappointing year in 2015 due to lackluster sales of the LG G4. The G4 was a brilliant smartphone in many ways but still failed to gain momentum owing to a few factors. The primary factor being the build quality and materials used. Samsung had to find out the hard way about how essential the build quality and premium feel is for handsets, especially flagships. LG too have learnt that by now and their new flagship, the G5 is an indication of the new direction they are heading in. On paper at least, the smartphone seemed to offer one of the most complete packages in the flagship category. In this review, we will be taking a look at the smartphone in detail and seeing whether or not all the impressive features and specifications actually impress us in real life too.

In less than couple of months of launching its first alpha version of the Remix OS 2.0, Jide Technology has released the first Beta version of the Remix OS 2.0 for PCs, as it had promised last week. It has 32-bit system support for older PCs and dual-boot support through a new UEFI Boot hard drive installer tool.
