OPPO R9 and R9 Plus with 4GB RAM, 16MP front and rear cameras get certified in China


OPPO R9

OPPO teased its upcoming flagship R9 smartphone recently. Now both the R9 and R9 Plus smartphones have been certified on TENAA in China. These smartphones have a 5.5-inch and 6-inch 1080p AMOLED displays, respectively as rumored earlier, but doesn’t seem to have a quad-core Snapdragon 820 or Deca-Core Helio X20 SoC.

According to the listing these phones have an Octa-Core SoC, so the R9 could come with Helio X10 and the R9 Plus could come with a Snapdragon 652. It also reveals 16-megapixel camera on the front and the back, which is a huge upgrade from 8MP front camera on the Oppo R7 and R7 Plus smartphones. These also have fingerprint sensor built into the home button.
