Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge launched in India for Rs. 48900 and Rs. 56900

Samsung just launched its flagship Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge smartphones in India, as it had promised last week. Both these were announced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last week, pack a 5.1-inch Quad HD and 5.5-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED always-on displays, respectively. These are powered by an Octa-Core Exynos 8 Octa 8890 SoC, run Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), come with a 12-megapixel Dual pixel rear camera with LED flash, OIS and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Google rolls out March Android security update for Nexus devices

Google has started rolling out new over-the-air (OTA) update for Nexus devices and also posted factory images as part of monthly Android Security release. The Android version is still at Android 6.0.1, but the latest update fixes several critical issues, including issues in Remote Code Execution Vulnerability in Mediaserver and libvpx, Elevation of Privilege in Conscrypt, Elevation of Privilege Vulnerability in the Qualcomm Performance Component, MediaTek Wi-Fi Driver and in Keyring Component. Sony starts rolling out Android Marshmallow 6.0 update for global Xperia Z5 series, Z3 Plus and Z4 tablet

Sony has started rolling out Android Marshmallow 6.0 update for a couple of devices. First up, the update is coming to the Japanese variants of the entire Xperia Z5 lineup which includes the Xperia Z5, Z5 Compact and the Z5 Premium. The update will soon follow the global variants in the coming weeks.

BlackBerry launched its flagship Priv smartphone running Android earlier this year for Rs. 62,990. We already brought you the photo gallery of the smartphone, here we have the benchmarks. It is powered by a Hexa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 64-bit 20nm processor that has two bigger ARM Cortex A57 cores clocked at 1.82GHz per core and four smaller ARM Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.44GHz per core with 600 MHz Adreno 418 GPU. Opera 36 beta for Android

Opera has updated its beta app for Android to version 36 that brings several new features, including a new tab switcher with a modern look and a better underlying structure to allow optimized resource management. Opera says it is still working on perfecting it, but it it asking beta testers for their feedback. The update also lets you make progressive web apps easier to find on the web. It will automatically allow compatible web apps like the Flipkart Lite to be added to the home screen.
