Samsung to roll out Ice Cream Sandwich update for Galaxy devices starting Q1 2012


Samsung has officially announced that they plan to provide Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for Galaxy devices from the first quarter of 2012. Samsung offers 16 popular games for free for Galaxy smartphones


Samsung now offers 16 popular games for Galaxy smartphones for free on their Samsung Apps app store. They are also running Samsung App Tournament Event on their Facebook page that would let you win prizes. The list of supported devices include Samsung GALAXY Note, GALAXY S II HD, GALAXYS II, GALAXY S Wi-fi, Galaxy Ace and Galaxy Gio. Samsung launches White Galaxy Note in South Korea

Samsung has launched White version of the Galaxy Note in South Korea. Samsung announced the Galaxy Note in September and launched it in Korea this November with LTE support. The new White version would also come with LTE support and complete white colored front and back including a white colored S Pen. The features are similar to the black version. Swingtel HelloTab 7 inch Android tablet launched in India

Swingtel HelloTab is the new tablet in the Indian market from SWINGTEL Group. This tablet features a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen. It is powered by 800 MHz Qualcomm processor and runs on Android 2.2. It has 5MP auto focus camera and secondary VGA camera and comes with 3G support. Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman up for pre-order in India for Rs.14550


Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman is now available for pre-order in India from online retailer Flipkart. They announced the phone in August. It is powered by a 1 GHz Qualcomm Scorpion processor with Adreno 205 GPU and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It has 3.2-inch (320 x 480 pixels) TFT capacitive touch screen display and boasts 5MP Autofocus camera with 720p video recording and a font facing VGA camera for video calling. It is 14.2 mm thick and weighs 115g.

Samsung Galaxy R price drops to Rs. 20,990


Samsung Galaxy R has seen a price drop in India. Samsung announced Galaxy R, stripped down version of the Samsung Galaxy S2, this July. It was launched in India at a steeper price of Rs. 27439 this October. The price of the phone dropped to 22,900 recently and now it is available less than that. LG Optimus Net Dual SIM and LG Optimus Sol price revealed for India

The LG Optimus Net Dual SIM (P698) and the LG Optimus Sol has been priced in India and now available for pre-order from the online retailer Letsbuy. LG announced the LG Optimus Net in July and later said that it would come with Dual SIM support in 30 European countries. The Dual SIM version went on sale in Russia last month as LG Optimus Link. Adobe Flash Player 11 update brings Ice Cream Sandwich support

Adobe Flash Player has been updated to version 11.1.112.60 that brings support for Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) devices. Adobe already promised that they would offer an update for the Flash Player to bring Android Ice Cream Sandwich support within this year. Facebook for Android and mobile web gets Timeline

Facebook’s Timeline feature is now available for Facebook for Android and mobile web. The new Timeline feature in Facebook lets you view your’s and other’s profile as a timeline with new cover photo, things shared such as Photo albums and other posts in an horizontally swipeable view. Timeline is also available for Facebook web interface worldwide. Facebook for Android got a new update to v1.8.0 recently that brought new features such as  better photo viewing, easier Navigation, push notification and more.
