Motorola launched the Dual SIM variant of the Moto G in Malaysia, Australia and some Asian countries last month, before launching it in India yesterday. The Android 4.4.2 update was first released for the single SIM US variant first, back in December and it started rolling out in Europe, again for the single SIM variant last month. Appropriately named the Micromax Canvas Turbo mini A200, the phone takes its screen size and the specs a notch down, to compete with devices in a different price segment. Opera has updated the beta version of Opera browser for Android to version 20 that brings a lot of new features including WebRTC (Real-Time Communications support) that lets the browser communicate peer-to-peer with encryption without plugins. Firefox for Android got the WebRTC support recently. This update also brings new article ticker on speed dial, simple search feature that auto completes your search results, option select phone, classic or tablet layout and more. LG G Flex becomes the first curved smartphone to launch in India, priced at Rs. 69,999/-

LG G Flex, the world’s first curved flexible smartphone has finally made its way into India, with a price tag of Rs. 69,999, as we previously revealed. The bendable 6 inch device had taken the world by storm when it was officially announced last year, with a curved flexible display, a self healing back and the curved flexible battery being its highlights. Taking cues from LG’s own TV lineup, the curved OLED screen on the G Flex offers a panoramic movie watching experience up close, in landscape, and a better voice audibility during calls. These are the two main reasons why the curved screen exists, but it also has a flexible body overall and really thin bezels with G2-like buttons on the back, making it really unique. This is touted as LG’s most forward thinking phone yet, and definitely makes for a good showcase of technology, which LG hopes, will set the precedent for other future devices to come.

Xolo Q1010 with 5-inch HD display, Android 4.2 coming soon

About 8 months after the Q1000 launch, Xolo is all set to launch the Q1010. The phone has been listed on Flipkart and has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display at 295 PPI, but the MT6589 processor has been replaced by 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor. It runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, BSI sensor and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. HP India has just sent us the press invite for the launch of Slate 6 VoiceTab and  Slate 7 VoiceTab phablets in India. These were announced last month specifically for India. The February 13th event in India would see the global launch of these phablets.The HP Slate 6 VoiceTab has a 6-inch HD IPS display sporting a 1280×720 pixels resolution and the HP Slate 7 VoiceTab will have a 7-inch HD 1280×800 pixels IPS display. Google Maps app for iPhone, iPad and Android already shows you alternate routes when you request for it while navigating. Google has updated these apps to show notifications if there’s a faster route. Google maps already shows bands of red, yellow and green along your route based on traffic conditions. The new notification option now lets you reach the destination faster with dynamic rerouting so that you can avoid heavy traffic in your chosen route. HTC M8 – HTC One successor, leaked online with two cameras on the back

Things haven’t really gone HTC’s way since the rise of droids and HTC is trying to pull back things with their premium offerings. Last year, HTC announced their current flagship – HTC One to the delight of many Android lovers. HTC One defined styled in the Android smartphone market and came with an exceptional build quality and aluminum unibody. But the problem with the HTC One was their new UltraPixel technology which din’t harness the results they would have expected. HTC went on to use the same HTC One design and build for the HTC One Mini and HTC One Max. Suddenly we had three similarly built devices lurking in various price ranges.

LG launched the Optimus L1 II, an entry-level 3G smartphone with dual SIM support in India back in November last year. The LG Optimus L1 II Tri (E475) with triple SIM support has been listed on official LG Brazil website. It has similar specifications as the dual SIM variant including a 3.0-inch (320 x 240 pixels) capacitive touch screen  display, 1 GHz processor and runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean). It comes with a 2-megapixel rear camera with VGA video recording. It also has a dedicated SIM switch key as seen on dual SIM L Series II devices. Moto G Back Cover, Grip Cover and Flip Cover get priced in India

Motorola and Flipkart partnered to launch the most expected Moto G in India earlier today starting at Rs. 12,499. The Moto G comes only with a back rear cover. You can buy the rear sells and Flip covers separately. Moto G accessories, including the Back Cover, Grip Shell and the Flip Cover has been priced on Flipkart. Motorola started selling Grip shells for Moto G in the US last month at $19.99.
