HTC Desire 8 with 5.5-inch display, 13MP camera leaks

HTC Desire 8, the company’s upcoming mid-range smartphone has leaked. This smartphone destined for China has a 5.5-inch screen (resolution is not available yet), has dual SIM support and packs a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. Even though it has a 13MP rear camera, it doesn’t have Ultrapixel technology like the HTC One series. It also has dual front-facing speakers and is likely to come with on-screen touch buttons, eliminating the capactive touch buttons.

It has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with beautification mode. It would be available in white, red, yellow, orange and cyan colors. Other specifications are not available yet. According to the screenshot, which shows March 18th, it might be unveiled on that day at an event in China. HTC might also unveil the phone at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona later this month.

HTC announced that it would launch more mid-range smartphones this year to make more profit. We might see new mid-range Desire smartphones at the MWC later this month.
