Samsung started rolling out the Android 4.4 (KitKat) update for the Galaxy Note 2 last week France. The update is now rolling out for the Note 2 users in India. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 got the KitKat update in January and the Galaxy S4 got the update in February. The Galaxy Note 2  got Android 4.1.2 update back in December 2012 and got the Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) update directly, skipping Android 4.2, back in November last year.

The KitKat update for the Note 2 adds wireless printing, support for emojis in keyboard and lots more new features. The Android 4.4.2 update for the Galaxy Note 2 brings minor UI changes and under the hood improvements such as white status bar icons,, lockscreen Camera shortcut, Enhanced Messaging, full screen music album art in the lockscreen, improved user interface and performance improvements.

The Android 4.4.2 update for the Galaxy Note 2 (GT-N7100) is about 416.58MB. It is available Over-the-Air (OTA) in India. You can try updating the phone using Kies software if it fails.
