Skype has updated its Android app with a couple of new features. The latest update which bumps the app to version 5.5 brings previews of web links to chats and also makes it easier to sign back in once you are logged out.

ZTE has officially announced Axon Pro, the company’s flagship smartphone for the U.S. market, as it promised. It packs a 5.5-inch Quad HD CGS (Continuous Grain Silicon) screen, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 810 64-bit SoC and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash and a secondary 2-megapixel rear camera for quick auto focus and depth sensing. Samsung Galaxy A8 with 5.9mm slim metal unibody design, fingerprint sensor official

Samsung Galaxy A8 has finally gone official in China after several rumors. It packs a 5.7-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display with ultra-narrow bezels and has full metal uni-body design, similar to the other A series smartphones and is just 5.9mm thick. It is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 615 SoC and runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop). It has a fingerprint sensor on the home button. Lava Iris X5 4G with 2GB RAM shows up in benchmarks, could be Android One smartphone

Lava Iris X5 4G has surfaced in GFXBench (via) benchmark listing. This is likely to be the upcoming Android One smartphone from Lava that was expected to launch today according to a ET report. Looks like the launch is not happening today and got postponed. Coming to the listing, it reveals 2GB RAM and a MediaTek SoC that coincides with the earlier report. Even though it shows it has a 4.6-inch display, it could feature a 5-inch display as reported earlier.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 might be announced on August 12th – Probable launch on August 14th in major markets
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is probably the hottest smartphones in the rumour section right now and now we have another bit of information that will add fuel to the fire. Apparently the smartphone is set for an early launch and will be announced on August 12th followed by a release on August 14th in major markets.
Xiaomi might release a version of the Mi 4i that’s powered by the Snapdragon 808
The Xiaomi Mi 4i is a cheaper version of the Mi 4 with slightly downgraded specifications. The current Mi 4i which was launched in India by Xiaomi features a Snapdragon 615 processor. However it seems that they are planning to release a version which is powered by the hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor.

Samsung Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7, selfie-focused smartphones with 5-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash went official in China last month. Today Samsung has sent out press invites for the launch of these smartphones India at an event on July 16th. The invite reads Samsung invites you to the Unveiling of the latest stars in the Galaxy series. The invite is present inside a smartphone, which matches the position of the front-facing camera and the LED flash on these new J series smartphones.
