Samsung Galaxy Note5 Benchmarks

Samsung launched the Galaxy Note5 smartphone in India earlier month for Rs. 53,900. We brought the review of the smartphone recently, here we have its benchmarks. The Galaxy Note5 is powered by an Octa-Core 14 nm Exynos 7420 SoC which has four larger ARM Cortex A57 CPUs clocked at 2.1GHz per core and four smaller ARM Cortex A53 CPUs clocked at 1.5GHz per core, similar to the Galaxy S6 edge+. It has Mali T760 MP8 GPU, 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, a 5.7-inch Quad HD (2560×1440 pixels) Super AMOLED display and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Samsung’s own UI on the top. The Z51Q Star has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 2-megapixel front-facing camera and a 2000mAh battery, while the Z51 Punch comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 5-megapixel front-facing camera and a 3000mAh battery. Google increases APK size limit on Play Store to 100MB

Google has increased the file size limitation for the APKs submitted on the Google Play Store. The company has doubled the Android app size limit on the Play store from 50MB to 100MB.

Samsung Galaxy Note5 Review

Every year at IFA, Samsung unveils one of the most awaited smartphones of the year, the new Note smartphone. The first Galaxy Note smartphone was met with a lot of criticism from many users and bloggers alike for being too big and being too similar to the Galaxy S II in many aspects. Many predicted that the device would fail. Since then, the Note series has come a long way. The Galaxy Note5 is the fifth iteration in the Galaxy lineup of devices. It is probably the best example of the kind of engineering and power packed smartphones that Samsung is able to produce. This year, Samsung announced the Note5 earlier than usual prior to IFA which is its usual stomping ground in an attempt to enter the market prior to the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. Alongside it came the Galaxy S6 edge+ which is a larger version of the S6 edge with an extra gig of RAM and a larger battery.

Google will introduce the LG-made Nexus 5X and Huawei-made Nexus 6P smartphones at an event in San Francisco in a few hours. Earlier rumors said that the LG Nexus 5X will start at $399, now a new report from Android Police says that the Nexus 5X will be priced from $379.99 (Rs. 25,250 approximately) onwards. vivo Y27L, a 4G smartphone with slim metal body went on sale last week. Today the company has officially launched the smartphone, along vivo Y15S and vivo Y31 smartphones in the Y series. As we already know, the Y27L has a 4.7-inch HD screen and is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 SoC. The vivo Y15S has a 4.5-inch FWVGA and the vivo Y31 packs a 4.7-inch HD display. Both these have 3G connectivity.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Note5 smartphone last month in India starting at Rs. 53,900. We recently brought you the unboxing of the smartphone, here we have its battery life test results. The Galaxy Note5 packs a 3000mAh built-in battery with support for both wired and wireless fast charging capabilities. This is slightly smaller than the Note 4’s 3220mAh removable battery. It has a 5.7-inch Quad HD display, which might consume more battery. Check out the test results.

HTC One M9e with 5-inch 1080p display, metal body gets certified in China

HTC One M9e, a new variant in the M9 series has been certified in one TENAA (Via) in China. According to the images, the smartphone will come with a unibody metal design and a 5-inch 1080p display, similar to One M9. It is likely to come with a 2.2 GHz Octa-Core Helio X10 SoC instead of Snadpragon 810 SoC on the M9, but it has 2GB of RAM compared to 3GB of RAM on the One M9 and the One M9+.
