Airtel has launched 4G services in Bathinda in Punjab. This become the 12th town in the state to get Airtel 4G services. The Department of Telecom (DoT) has announced the winners in the spectrum auctions in various circles that ended after 115 rounds. At the end of the auction for 800 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz and 2100 MHz government got bids worth Rs 1.098 lakh crore. Idea Cellular bid a maximum of Rs. 30,306.98 crore, Airtel bid Rs. 29,130.20 crore and Vodafone bid Rs. 29,959.74 crore to buy spectrum in the 900 MHz, 1800 MHz and 2,100 MHz bands.

Motorola India recently partnered with Airtel to offer free data for Moto E, Moto G (2nd Gen) and Moto X (2nd Gen) users. BlackBerry launched the BlackBerry Classic smartphone with full QWERTY physical keyboard back in December last year. Now it has launched a camera-less version of the smartphone for Verizon Wireless in the U.S. This lacks both the 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera and LED Flash and the 2-megapixel front facing camera.
