Pan-India Mobile Number Portability will be available from May 3

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) had released recommendations for Pan-India Mobile Number Portability (MNP) back in September 2013. At that time it said that it would recommend 6 months for the operators to roll out full MNP across the country. Later on 3rd November it had issued amendment to implement Full MNP in the country in 6 months from the date of amendment, i.e 3rd May. Today it has made some changes to it and issued a 6th amendment to the Telecommunication Mobile Number Portability Regulations, 2009. Videocon Telecom to rollout 4G LTE FDD services in 29 cities across UP and Bihar

Videocon Telecom has announced that it plans to roll out 4G LTT FDD services on 1800 Mhz across 29 key cities UP (East), UP (West) and Bihar circles. It will invest over Rs 1200 crores in next 3 years for 4G roll out in the cities across these 3 circles. It holds 5Mhz liberalized spectrum in the 1800 Mhz band in the circles. Idea Cellular has launched a new Easy Share prepaid plan that comes with internet, Local & National Minutes and SMS benefits. This plan lets users transfer internet packs, minutes and SMS to their friends and families, through a simple process of USSD or from Idea website. It start from Rs. 158 and goes till Rs. 958 depending on the plan. Last year it launched Easy Share postpaid plan in some markets, due to its success this has extended to the large base of prepaid users now, says the company.

Bharti Airtel to apply for Bank Payment license
