Reliance Jio has launched new pre-paid plans that offer a 1-year Disney+ Hotstar Mobile subscription. In addition, these offer bundled data, unlimited voice calling, SMS (100 / day) and access to Jio apps. These are available for 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, annual and also as a data add-on pack that comes with 2 months of validity without voice calling or SMS features. Vi successfully migrates 3G spectrum to 4G across 16 cities in Maharashtra & Goa

Vi today announced that completed the process of refarming of 3G spectrum to 4G on a majority of its sites in Maharashtra & Goa Circle, thereby substantially enhancing GIGAnet 4G capacity in the majority of its sites in Pune, Nashik, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Solapur, Kolhapur, Goa, Jalgaon, Nanded, Sangli-Miraj-Kupwad, Amravati, Ahmednagar, Akola, Bhiwandi, Ulhasnagar, Vasai, an exercise that will substantially enhance the GIGAnet 4G capacity in these cities. JioPhone Next specs surface: HD+ screen, Android 11 (Go Edition), Qualcomm 215 SoC

Reliance Jio announced the JioPhone Next, the company’s ultra-affordable Android smartphone in partnership with Google, back in June. At that time, it didn’t reveal its specifications. Now the specifications of the phone has surfaced through the software. This reveals the model number of the phone as LS-5701-J, comes with DuoGo preinstalled, but this is not said to be optimized for the phone. OPPO India conducts Reno6 Series 5G SA network trial with Jio

OPPO India has announced that it has conducted 5G standalone network trial for Reno6 Series under the 5G SA network environment provided by Jio at its 5G Lab. The trial yielded highly positive results, said the company. “The encouraging outcomes of the trial ratify the capabilities of both the devices in the Reno6 Series as true 5G devices, bringing a high-quality 5G experience closer to reality,” said OPPO. Airtel pre-paid recharge packs now start at Rs. 79, entry-level Rs. 49 pack discontinued

Airtel has  discontinued its Rs 49 entry level Prepaid recharge. The company said that its prepaid packs will now start from the Rs 79 Smart Recharge, and it says that offer up to four times more outgoing minutes of usage to customers along with double data. Airtel and Intel partner for 5G services in India

After partnering with Qualcomm, Airtel today announced a collaboration with Intel to use its vRAN / O-RAN technologies for 5G services in India. Airtel said that will deploy Intel’s latest 3rd gen Xeon Scalable processors, FPGAs and eASICs, and Ethernet 800 series across its network to build a solid foundation for rolling out wide-scale 5G, mobile edge computing and network slicing. Reliance Retail acquires controlling stake in Just Dial for Rs. 3497 crores

Reliance Retail today announced that it will acquire a controlling stake in Just Dial, India’s leading local search engine platform, for a total consideration of Rs. 3,497 crores. Reliance Retail will hold 40.95% and would make an open offer to acquire up to 26% in accordance with SEBI. VSS Mani will continue as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer to lead Just Dial through the next phase of growth. Airtel Black combines Postpaid, Broadband & DTH under a single connection

Airtel has launched Airtel Black that lets bundle 2 or more of Airtel services (Fiber, DTH, Mobile) together. This entitles the customer to one single bill, one Customer Care number with a dedicated team of relationship managers, and priority resolution of faults and issues, says the company. This doesn’t have any additional costs or installation cost, and  comes with free service visits for life. The company launched a similar plan last year for select circles. Reliance Jio announces 5G partnership with Google Cloud

During their 44th annual general meeting (AGM), Reliance Jio announced a new partnership with Google, where the two companies will collaborate to integrate Jio’s 5G technologies with Google Cloud’s scalable infrastructure. As a part of their partnership, Reliance will also be moving many of their their core retail businesses to Google Cloud.
