Uninor has finally launched GPRS Services on Prepaid in 8 circles UP (West), UP (East), Bihar, Orissa, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh. The plans certainly look attractive. No unlimited plans but you can get 60MB for just Rs.9 while Rs.90 will get you 3GB of usage of 30 days. On March this year, Reliance achieved 100 million customers mark followed by Airtel and then Vodafone followed the two leading Indian telecom operators. To celebrate this precious achievement, Vodafone is now making select customers fly to the sky for free on Vodafone air ship (images of Vodafone airship).
While we are a tad disappointed that Microsoft PINK aka KIN Phones launched in USA today on Verizon’s network. But now a tweet from Vodafone UK confirms that the KIN is indeed going to be available in UK too soon.
BSNL 3G is a actually a great service apart from the poor customer support. I barely use my Airtel Mobile Office GPRS connection after I got my BSNL 3G connection.
I still have it because , Airtel’s network coverage is pretty good. But GPRS/EDGE is slow so I prefer using 3G. I get an average speed of 800Kbps to 1 Mbps. Now after my free usage got over, I was paying Rs.1 per MB approx from my prepaid account balance which is expensive. BSNL 3G has 3G Data plans which are actually pretty reasonably priced. There are plans ranging from Rs.249 (500 MB Free usage ) to Rs.2499 (unlimited). A lot of users have been asking about how to recharge the 3G SIM cards with more usage.
Opera Mini is a must have apps for anyone looking to browse the web on a mobile phone without draining the battery or paying expensive data charges. Now Opera has teamed up with Vodafone to bring a custom version of the Opera Mini browser to low cost phones running on 2G Networks

Airtel Broadband Internet is down in Chennai for an extended time since today morning ! Looks like lots of my friends are also facing the same problem. It is crazy when Internet goes down and you are not even informed of the issue by the Service Provider. And even calls to the Airtel Customer Care number 121 did not go through.

Vodafone has also increased its market share to strengthen its position as India’s second largest operator in terms of revenue. Bharti Airtel was the first to reach 100 million customers and Reliance was second. Looks like the ZooZoo campaigns have totally worked in Vodafone’s favour
