Lava has launched Iris Fuel F2, the company’s latest smartphone in the Fuel series with a 3000mAh battery that promises up to 31 hours of talk time on 2G. It has a 5-inch FWVGA IPS display, is powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with single LED flash and VGA front-facing camera. Apple grabs number 6 spot in India’s top 30 cities: IDC

International Data Corporation (IDC) is out with its monthly city level smartphone tracker which reveals that 30 leading cities of India make up approximately for 51% of the entire smartphone market in Q4 CY 2015. Delhi and Mumbai were the top two cities that generated maximum demand for the phone. Apple has outsmarted Xiaomi and grabbed number spot in the Indian smartphone market, said the report.

Xiaomi Mi 5 launching in India in April, 20000mAh Mi Power Bank coming soon

Xiaomi launched its mid-range Redmi Note 3 smartphone at the Mi Bluetooth speaker in India at an event earlier today. At the launch event Hugo Barra, Vice President of Xiaomi Global said that its flagship Mi 5 smartphone will launch in India in April. He said that the 20000mAh Mi Power Bank will launch in India soon and all the attendees of the event get a free Power Bank. But no details about the price yet.

Xiaomi has finally launched its Redmi Note 3 smartphone in India, as it had promised last week. It packs a 5.5-inch 1080p screen, is powered by a Hexa-Core Snapdragon 650 (Snapdragon 618 previously) processor, runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) with MIUI 7 top, a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, LED flash and phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF), resulting in a quick focus of just 0.1 second and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. At the event Hugo Barra said that the third Xiaomi smartphone to be ‘Made In India’ after the Redmi 2 Prime and the Redmi Note Prime. After launching uberMOTO in Thailand, Bangkok, Uber today launched started piloting its motorbike service in Bangalore, India. This lets you book a ride on a motorcycle at the push of a button and it is the most affordable Uber ride ever at as low as Rs. 3 per KM and a base fare of Rs. 15. It recently shuttered its auto-rickshaw pilot in India. So the company might continue the uberMOTO service only if it is successful. 2 lakh units of Le 1s and Le Max smartphones sold in less than 30 days in India

LeEco today announced that it has sold over 2,00,000 units of Le 1s and Le Max smartphones combined, in less than 30 days, since these smartphones went on sale on February 2nd and February 16th respectively. Last month the company announced that it received 2,20,000 sales orders for Le 1s smartphones and received 2,028,000 registrations in first three flash sales on Flipkart.
