Adobe has announced that the Premiere mobile app is now available on Android. The release follows the app’s debut on iPhone last year.
Since its iPhone launch, Premiere mobile has been used to create and edit day-in-the-life vlogs, tutorials, podcast clips, social content and other videos. The app supports frame-accurate editing, giving users control over individual cuts, whether they are timing reactions, matching edits to the beat of music or trimming clips to a specific moment.
The multi-track timeline lets users layer different elements in one view, while creator-made templates provide a starting point that users can customize. The editing and audio tools include:
- Video, music, text, voiceovers and effects on a multi-track timeline
- Creator-made templates that can be customized
- Enhance Audio to reduce distracting background noise and improve the clarity of interviews, voiceovers and other recordings with one tap
- Effects and transitions
- Creative assets and music from Adobe Stock, users’ own files or extracted audio
- Video editing and exporting at up to 4K
Along with these editing tools, Premiere mobile allows users to create and edit without a forced login or upgrade prompts. The app also has no ads or watermark, keeping these elements out of the editing experience.
Premiere mobile also includes Firefly-powered generative AI features for creating additional assets. These features include:
- Generative Fill
- Image-to-Video
- Generate Sound Effects
Adobe said more features are coming to Premiere mobile. The upcoming additions include:
- Adobe Fonts
- Enhanced captions
- Keyframes
- Cropping
- Beat detection
- Continued editing on Premiere desktop
These additions will expand the editing capabilities available across the mobile and desktop versions of Premiere.
Availability
Adobe Premiere mobile is available for free on the Google Play Store for devices running Android 13 or later, with a minimum of 5GB of RAM. The free mobile app includes the video editing essentials, while upgrades are available for additional generative credits and storage.
