iPhone 5 to Launch in India and Malaysia on Coming October 26?

BGR.in reports that Apple is planning to launch the iPhone 5 in India on October 26th. This isn’t the first time an October 26 launch in Asia has been mentioned. Last month, The Malay Mail reported that the iPhone 5 would be coming to Malaysia on that date, pending stock availability. There is no concrete word about the pricing yet but multiple sources FoneArena spoke to indicate a pricing of around Rs.48500-52500 approximately for the 16GB iPhone 5. Karbonn is all set to launch their next Android Smartphone A11. The phone is listed on online retail site Flipkart. It packs in a 4.0-inch (480 x 800 Pixels) display and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It is powered by a 1 GHz processor and has Dual SIM support. MTS launches MTag 353 Android Smartphone for Rs. 5999

MTS has launched their new Android Smartphone MTag 353. It is powered by a 800 MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 Processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), similar to the MTag 351, MTag 352 and MTag 281 that was launched in August. S Huawei Ascend Y100 now available in India for Rs. 5990

Huawei has launched the Y100, their new entry-level Android smartphone in India in partnership with Spice, hence it called S Huawei Y100. It has a 2.8-inch (320 × 240 pixels) TFT Capacitave touch screen display and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It is powered by a 800MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and has a 3.2MP fixed-focus camera at the back. The Huawei Ascend Y100 was announced back in May for select countries. Spice Stellar Horizon finally goes on sale in India for Rs. 12499

Spice Stellar Horizon (Mi-500) is finally available in India from online retailer Saholic. Spice unveiled the Stellar Horizon along with the other Android Smartphones, Stellar and Stellar Craze, but it was delayed. It has a 5-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It was supposed to come with a 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, but MediaTek announced that the phone would be powered by their new 1 GHz dual-core MT6577 processor. MTS launches mAd, lets you make free local calls by watching Video Ads

MTS has launched a new Mobile Advertising Service called mAd. This service would let the customers watch a short video Ad on their device before a call and get free local calling minutes. It doesn’t have any activation charges, application download charges and data transfer charges while viewing video ads. Popular brands such as Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Mentos, Center Fresh, Fiat, Kellogg’s, Titan, Lenovo have partnered with MTS for this service. Zync Z-930 7-inch tablet running Android 4.0 launched for Rs. 5499

Zync has launched the Z-930, their new 7-inch tablet running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Zync has also promised Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update for the tablet. It has a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) TFT capacitive touch screen display, similar to the Z-900 that was launched earlier this year. PayMate launches Mobile Kisan Credit Card for Farmers

PayMate has launched Mobile Kisan Credit Card (mKCC), India’s first Mobile Money Credit Delivery solution for farmers. It would let the farmers use their loan amounts in an easier, instant and more efficient manner. Nokia Belle Feature Pack 2 update brings new Hindi Keyboard

Today most of the Nokia PureView 808, 701, 700 and 603 users started getting Belle Feature Pack 2 update through OTA globally including India. There are lot of new feature in Nokia Belle FP2, but one of the features completely surprised me which is its new keyboard. Most of the 808 users were awaiting for the new improved keyboard with FP2, but I got completely surprised when I found new Hindi QWERTY keyboard as an option along with the English keyboard. Nokia has started rolling out the Belle Feature pack 2 update (v 113.010.1506/07) for the 808 PureView, 700, 701 and 603. The Nokia Belle Feature Pack 1 update for the Nokia 700, 701 and 603 started rolling out in April, but the 808 PureView came with FP1 out of the box. Some devices that didn’t receive the FP1 update got the Belle Refresh update in August. When the Samsung Galaxy S3 was unveiled we felt the handset was a tad large for a smart phone. But 6 months down the lane , the Samsung Galaxy S3 meets it’s bigger brother the Galaxy Note 2 and looks pretty small in comparison. May be the large screen phones have grown on us ? The S3 packs a 4.8 inch display while the Note 2 has a massive 5.5 inch display.
