RedmiBook 14 Pro with 14-inch FHD display, 10th gen Intel core processors, metal body announced

Along with the Redmi Note 8 series, Redmi also introduced the RedmiBook 14 Pro, which is the upgraded version of the RedmiBook 14 that was introduced back in May. It has the same 14-inch Full HD screen with 5.75 mm ultra narrow bezels and 81.2% screen-to-body ratio and NVIDIA GeForce MX 250 GPU, but this has a faster 10th gen Intel Core i5/i7 processors that promises 13% overall performance increase compared to the previous gen processor.

Redmi TV with 70-inch 4K HDR screen announced

Along with its Redmi Note 8 series, Xiaomi’s Redmi brand also introduced its first Redmi TV, as it had promised. It has a large 70-inch 4K screen with HDR support, has minimal bezels, 6th generation quality engine, quad-core 64-bit high-performance Amologic processor, PatchWall artificial Intelligence voice and Bluetooth voice remote control. It has a separate cavity speaker, Dolby Atmos and let you cast content to the phone with just by scanning the QR code on the TV using your phone.

Redmi Note 8 Pro with 6.53-inch FHD+ display, Helio G90T, liquid cooling, up to 8GB RAM, quad rear camera announced

Xiaomi’s Redmi brand just announced the Redmi Note 8 Pro, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone at an event in China, as it had promised. It has a 6.53-inch Full HD+ LCD screen with 2.05mm narrow top frame, 1.8mm narrow left and right borders and 4.2mm bottom border offering 91.4% screen-to-body ratio and has TÜV Rheinland eye protection certification. It the world’s first smartphone to be powered by the latest MediaTek Helio G90T SoC and is the first phone in the price range to feature liquid cooling that will reduce the temperature of the phone by 4 to 6 degrees.

Redmi Note 8 with 6.3-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 665, quad rear cameras announced

Xiaomi’s Redmi brand just announced the Redmi Note 8, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone in the Note series in China, as it had promised. It has a 6.39-inch Full HD+ LCD screen with 90% screen-to-body ratio, TÜV Rheinland eye protection certification, is powered by Snapdragon 665 11nm Mobile Platform with up to 6GB RAM, features a 48-megapixel main camera with 4-in-1 pixel binning for low-light shots, 8-megapixel 120° ultra-wide angle lens, 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor for 2cm macro shots. There is a 13-megapixel camera on the front.

Redmi K20 and K20 Pro get a price cut in China [Update: K20 8GB+256GB as well]

Update: August 27, 2019 – Redmi has announced price cut for the K20 8GB RAM with 256GB storage version as well in China, which now costs 2299 yuan (US$ 321 / Rs. 23,050 approx.) after 300 yuan price cut. This version has not been launched in India.

Xiaomi Redmi 7A gets MIUI 10.2.7.0 with Portrait Mode and AI Scene Detection

Xiaomi launched the Redmi 7Asmartphone in India back in July running MIUI 10.2 Global Stable on top of Android 9.0. The smartphone packs a 5.45-inch HD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display, is powered by Snapdragon 439, and has a 12-megapixel Sony IMX486 rear camera sensor. During the launch, the company announced that Redmi 7A will offer portrait mode and AI scene detection and promised to roll out the features with future OTA updates.

Xiaomi introduced App Vault back in 2017 with MIUI 9 Global Stable with an aim to bring convenience at users tip. Redmi Note 8 with 48MP quad rear cameras, Snapdragon 665 confirmed ahead of August 29 announcement

Xiaomi’s Redmi brand is all set to introduce the Redmi Note 8 series on August 29th. After confirming details about the Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphone, Xiaomi’s Redmi brand has confirmed that the Redmi Note 8 will also pack quad rear cameras. It will pack a 48-megapixel main camera along with an ultra wide-angle lens, depth of field lens and a super macro lens, everything arranged vertically. The image also shows dual LED flash next to the camera.

Redmi Note 8 Pro will come with exclusive gaming accessories; Liquid cooling, 64MP camera details teased

Xiaomi’s Redmi brand has started revealing more details about the upcoming Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphone. The company today shared an image of a gamepad and said that the phone will have support for game accessories. It also said that it has all the qualities of a gaming phone including smooth gaming in high frame rates, liquid cooling,  network optimization, smooth touchscreen experience and long battery life.

Redmi Note 8 Pro will be powered by Helio G90T SoC confirms MediaTek [Update: Will offer better performance than Snapdragon 710]

Update: August 23, 2019 – Redmi GM Lu Weibing today posted a comparison chart that shows AnTuTu Benchmark 8 comparison between the Helio G90T, Kirin 810 and Snapdragon 710. This shows Helio G90T powered Redmi Note 8 has scored 283,333 points and is placed well above the Kirin 710, but it couldn’t beat the Kirin 810, which is slightly better. Snapdragon 730G should offer almost similar AnTuTu 8 scores as the Kirin 810.

Redmi K20 Review

Xiaomi’s Redmi brand launched the Redmi K20 smartphone along with the Redmi K20 Pro in India last month making it the first Redmi series to cross Rs. 20,000 price tag. Even though it has the same  6.39-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen with in-display fingerprint scanner, premium glass back, as the K20 Pro, it is powered by Snapdragon 730 SoC compared to  Snapdragon 855 SoC, doesn’t have graphite 3D sheet, comes only in 6GB RAM version, lacks 4K 60 fps video recording, loses Hi-Fi DAC and doesn’t support 27W Sonic Charge fast charging. I’ve been using the phone for about a month now, let’s check out if you should get this one or go for the K20 Pro by spending more.
