Sony has announced the Xperia Z3 Compact at the IFA. The Z3 Compact has a 4.6-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) Triluminos Display with X-Reality engine, slightly larger than the Z1 Compact, powered by 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 20.7-megapixel rear camera with Sony G lens, 4K video recording and a 2.2-megapixel 1080p front-facing camera, similar to the Xperia Z3. Sony mobile has just announced the Xperia Z3, the company’s latest flagship at the IFA 2014. It has the same 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Triluminos Display with Live Colour LED powered by X-Reality similar to the Z2, but the screen is more brighter 600 cd brightness and has smaller bezels on the sides. At the time of announcing its IFA 2014 event, Sony teased a new smartphone camera lens. Today images of the ILCE-QX1 E-mount camera has surfaced online ahead of the official event tomorrow. It is an E-mount camera module with interchangeable Alpha lenses, unlike the QX10 and QX100 camera lenses that were unveiled at IFA last year. Now the Xperia Z3 L55t for China Mobile and L55u for China Unicom have been certified by TENAA. This reveals the dimensions of the smartphone as 146.5×72.4×7.35mm and weight as 158.4g. Sony released Xperia C3, a selfie focused smartphone with 5MP camera in July. Today two different reports are suggesting that the company is making a selfie centered smartphone or a compact camera.
Firstly, digi-wo has posted a bunch of photos of the Sony device that has a camera situated at the top of the phone in the center. According to the photos, it will have a swivel camera that we have already seen on Oppo N1 and Gionee Elife E7 mini. The camera lens is encompassed in a transparent rectangular case over the top of the phone.
