Sony has forayed into head wearables with a new device. Dubbed as Smart B-Trainer, the device is aimed at runners and boasts of fitness sensors.

Sony has launched a limited edition Xperia Z3 series that is inspired by Berlin, Tokyo and Warsaw. The Xperia Z3, Z3 Compact and Z 3 Tablet Compact will boast of engraved illustration inspired by three cities.
Sony has released its CES 2015 teaser, titled Welcome to the New World. The 43-second teaser hints at the upcoming devices including its sleek Z series device. Sony announced the Smartwatch 3 SWR50 in September this year. The company’s first smartwatch that runs on Android Wear landed on the U.S. Google Play Store last month for $249.99. It has a 1.6-inch (320 x 320 pixels) TFT LCD capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. Last week it was reported that Sony is working on a e-paper smartwatch. The company has confirmed that it is behind the e-ink watch technology, to the Wall Street Journal.

One of the biggest trends in technology at the moment is wearable devices such as smartwatches and whilst many manufacturers have begun launching their first devices this year, Sony’s already on the third generation of the Sony Smartwatch range. Whilst this year’s smartwatch shares many similarities with its predecessors (such as durability and overall design), it features a few major differences and the biggest of these is its powered by Google’s new Android Wear operating system.
Whilst previous devices were powered by Sony’s proprietary user interface, the adoption of Android Wear has meant Sony can stop focusing on the software and instead look to innovate in hardware and design.
