Sony announced the Smartwatch 3 SWR50 in September this year. The company’s first smartwatch that runs on Android Wear landed on the U.S. Google Play Store last month for $249.99. It has a 1.6-inch (320 x 320 pixels) TFT LCD capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. Sony SmartWatch 3 Review

One of the biggest trends in technology at the moment is wearable devices such as smartwatches and whilst many manufacturers have begun launching their first devices this year, Sony’s already on the third generation of the Sony Smartwatch range. Whilst this year’s smartwatch shares many similarities with its predecessors (such as durability and overall design), it features a few major differences and the biggest of these is its powered by Google’s new Android Wear operating system.

Whilst previous devices were powered by Sony’s proprietary user interface, the adoption of Android Wear has meant Sony can stop focusing on the software and instead look to innovate in hardware and design. Sony to cut back its smartphone and TV line up

Sony is rethinking its approach on the smartphone market owing to disappointing sales. The company is planning to cut down the smartphone lineup by ending the development of new smartphones in China and is reducing the number of Xperia models as it struggles to compete with the likes of Apple and Samsung.

It has onboard image plane phase detection AF signal processing function, it promises the best focus tracking of fast-moving subjects and the High Dynamic Range (HDR) function enable you to capture both backgrounds and subjects clearly even in high-contrast scenes such as backlit locations. Sony unleashes AOSP source code for Xperia Z3, Z2 and Z1

Sony has posted source code and binaries for the Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, Xperia Z2, Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z1 Compact. The company is yet to release the Android Lollipop Update for these devices, however it has already confirmed that it will release it soon.
