Has the S Pen become more useful on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4?

Back in 2011, Samsung had launched the original Galaxy Note, a large screen device that brought the stylus back into vogue. Initially used as a substitute for the finger in old touchscreens, the stylus, also known as the S-Pen, became a value add for Samsung’s new experiment. Even though the positioning of the Note has slightly changed, the stylus has stuck to its place and evolved along with the device, now in its fourth iteration. Samsung just launched the Galaxy Note Edge smartphone in India, after reports of it launching in the country next month. The Note Edge was announced at the IFA 2014 in September along with the Note 4 and packs a 5.6-inch (1440 x 2560 pixels) Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display that bends on the right side that utilizing 160 pixels so that you can acess frequently used apps, alerts and device functionality. People used to be dismissive of the concept in 2011 when the original released, but since then, all the flagships have gradually increased screen sizes, with the latest iPhone sporting a 5.5 inch screen and a Nexus sporting a 6 inch screen. [Update: Samsung has launched the Galaxy Note Edge in India for Rs. 64,900 and it goes on sale January first week.]

Earlier: Samsung plans to launch the Galaxy Note Edge smartphone in India in January 2015 at a price tag of Rs. 68,500, according to a report from ET. The report says that it would retail for Rs. 64,900. Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 4 smartphone in India for Rs. 58300 back in October, which now retails for Rs. 57,000 on the official Samsung eStore. Samsung Galaxy Core Prime (SM-G360H/DS) went on sale through retail stores in India for Rs. 9,599 earlier this month, now the smartphone is available from the official Samsung India eStore. It has a 4.5-inch WVGA display, powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (Kitkat). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It has the same Quad-Core Snapdragon 805 (APQ8084) 28nm HPm Krait 450 CPU clocked at 2.65 GHz with Adreno 420 GPU, has 3GB RAM and runs on Android 4.4.4 (KitKat), similar to the Galaxy Note 4. Samsung develops Look at Me interactive app for children with Autism

Samsung has developed Look at Me, a training program that helps children with autism make eye contact. Samsung has partnered with Autism Speaks Canada to 200 Galaxy Tab S devices pre-loaded with the Look at Me app. This will be given to 200 families with children with autism. It has been designed to support meaningful connections between parents, caregivers, and their children, says Samsung. Samsung Z1 Tizen smartphone reportedly launching in India in January 2015

Samsung is all set to launch the Samsung Z1, the company’s budget Tizen OS smartphone in India on January 18th 2015, according to a report from Korea Economic Daily. Earlier reports in September and November said that the Tizen powered smartphone will hit Indian markets by November or December. Looks like the launch will finally happen in January. Samsung has also started their partners meet for the Samsung Z1 in India. Since January 18th lies on Sunday, the date might be wrong. Samsung announced the Galaxy A5 smartphone with all metallic build few months back. We brought you the unboxing recently. Here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. The phone is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) SoC that has four ARM Cortex-A53 CPUs clocked at 1.19 GHz per core and has Adreno 306 GPU, similar to the Galaxy Mega 2.  It has a 2GB RAM, 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). This reveals WVGA display and and 1.3GHz ARM Cortex A7 processor, but the GFXBench listing reveals detailed of the smartphone that includes a 4.8-inch WVGA screen, 1.2GHz quad-core Marvell PXA1908 processor with Vivante GC7000UL GPU and Android 4.4.4 (KitKat) OS.
