Nokia N82 the 5 Mega Pixel SuperStar from Nokia seems to have gotten its first software update. The latest firmware update available is 11.0.117 up from the previous 10.0.046
The Coolest thing about this update is that Nokia seems to be hearing the woes of its users.
Its come up with a new feature called User Data Preservation (UDP) which is the first of its kind in NSeries line.

It’s raining handsets this year. While we saw handsets being launched in India by Nokia, Sony Ericsson, LG and Asus, it is now the turn of Samsung.
Samsung launched two new handsets that it says, targets the female of the species; a go getter who likes to be seen with a cool gadget. The L310 and L320 are clamshell phones for the fashion conscious.

After the Sony Ericsson results of 2007 now its Nokia. The company came out with their results Q4 2007 results and this time Nokia has gained 40% share of the mobile handset market in Q4 2007. Nokia sold handsets worth 25 billion Euros in the year 2007, which is mere 1% more than what it sold last year.

This is what the Nokia CEO had to say on Nokia’s performance, “Nokia’s excellent fourth quarter contributed to a year of high growth and increased profitability for the company, while our industry leading product portfolio drove our device business to an estimated 40% market share in the fourth quarter. Nowadays mobile companies are filing patents one after another. Nokia has once again filed a patent for Virtual keyboard. This patent is regarding an upcoming Nokia device, which will have a virtual keyboard. Nokia’s phone will have digital camera located in front side of the phone, which will capture movement and position of the user’s fingers and project them on a virtual keyboard. I am a Reliance user and have been meaning to upgrade my handset for a very long time. I have a Nokia 6325 which is a neat handset, but lets face it, in the world of 3-5 megapixel cameras, MicroSD memory card options, Bluetooth, GPRS, GSM etc, this handset is antiquated.
But Reliance has few upgrade options that along with features, look super chic too. I don’t want a Black Berry, LG Chocolate hasn’t enough features, and the Nokia handsets by Reliance are just not good looking enough.

Reliance seems to be singing the Blogging song with their latest Reliance Mobile Blog Ad on TV screens across India.
Reliance Mobile Blog is the latest addition to the features of their mobile offerings. The classical song which plays is ” You got the whole world in your hands “. With mobile penetration sky rocketing in India this new feature seems to be mainly targetted at Youth.The AD shows a pretty young girl who encourages users to share your dairy on reliance mobile world. The advert seems impressive and well taken. It seems like the AD is taken in Singapore. I checked out the Official Site and found that users are uploading mainly images and videos. So this might well be termed as Multimedia Mobile Blogging . But my worry is that since such a service is data intensive, how much time will it take for me to upload an image/video etc. I badly want to get my hands on a reliance phone and try out this service.

Sony Ericsson came up with 2 W Series phones at the starting of this month. Now it is speculated that the company is on the verge of announcing a High-end K Series imaging phone, the photos have been leaked by PC Online of China. (www.pconline.com.cn). GSM Arena assures that this is a real K Series device and there is nothing fake in it just because it was revealed on a Chinese website.
