HTC has announced that the latest HTC devices launched after September 2011 are now unlockable with the updated bootloader unlocking tool. They announced that they would offer an option to unlock the boot loader and launched the unlocking tool earlier this August starting with the HTC Sensation and have added more devices to the list since then. They also launched the HTCdev site with OpenSense S3D and Pen SDK along with the web tool for unlocking the boot loaders. Samsung has announced that they have shipped over 1 million units of the Galaxy Note globally since the launch in October this year, after the announcement on September in IFA. They have also said that the shipments are strong in the European countries such as France, Germany and are increasing steadily in Asian countries such as Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Note remains one of the top favorite phones among people. This penta band device comes with 3.5-inch (360×640 Pixels) TFT Clear Black Display panel and is powered by a 1Ghz processor. It also comes with 5 MP full focus camera with 720p HD video recording at 30 fps. It is 12.7mm thick and weighs 109.6g and comes with interchangeable covers. LG unveiled the PRADA 3.0, their 3rd generation PRADA phone in collaboration with LG earlier this month. The PRADA 3.0 is also the first PRADA phone to run on Android. The phone is now available for Korean customers. It features 4.3 inch (800 x 480 pixels) NOVA Plus display with 800-nit brightness. It is powered by 1.0 GHz Dual core processor with Dual Channel architecture and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) that is up-gradable to Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich. Japan’s largest telecom operator NTT Docomo has announced that they have made an agreement with five companies, Fujitsu, Fujitsu Semiconductor, NEC Corporation, Panasonic Mobile Communications and Samsung Electronics to create a joint venture company by the end of March 2012 that would develop and sell semiconductor products for mobile devices. Nokia has been crazily promoting it’s Lumia handsets in India under the Amazing Everyday banner and I’m sure none of you might have missed the news (Even my mom knows about it !). The United States Patents and Trademark office has given Google a great Christmas present in a final rejection of 17 of the 21 claims of the ‘476 patent, including all seven of the patent’s independent claims.
