Xolo X1000 Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OTA update now available

Xolo has announced that they have finally started rolling out the Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) update for the Xolo X1000. It was launched back in March running on Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich). At the time of launch Xolo promised to update the phone to Jelly Bean in a couple of month, the update was expected to launch back in June, but it was delayed. Nokia Windows RT tablet images surface, expected to launch in September

We had already heard lot of rumors about Nokia’s Windows RT tablet. Earlier this month there were rumors about Nokia launching their first Windows RT tablet at an event in New York scheduled for September 26th. Back in June, a mysterious Nokia device codenamed RX-114, running on Windows, with the Adreno 330 GPU surfaced. The Adreno 330 reference in the developer page hinted at  Snapdragon 800 chipset, which has been officially confirmed to support Windows RT 8.1. Huawei Ascend P1 now available in India for Rs. 12490

Huawei Ascend P1 that went on pre-order online last week, is now available for purchase from online retailer Flipkart and Infibeam in India. It  has a 4.3-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels)  Super AMOLED display with scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla glass protection, powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It packs a 8-megapixel auto focus camera with dual LED flash, full HD video recording and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera.  It comes with Dolby Surround Sound and is just 7.69mm thick. Nokia Lumia Amber update starts for Windows Phone 8 devices

Nokia has announced that they have started rolling out the most expected Amber update for their Lumia devices running on Windows Phone 8. This would bring lot of new features including improved camera, Nokia Smart CameraNokia Glance Screen with double-tap to unlock, FM Radio, Flip to silence and lots more new features. Lenovo’s strong first quarter boosted by more mobile device shipments than PCs

Lenovo is one of the few companies that is doing good in both the PC and smart devices industry. As a fruit of its efforts, it has had a very successful first quarter in 2013, which ended June 30 with a revenue of US$8.8 billion which is a ten percent increase year-over-year. Also the company’s pre-tax income grew to US$215 million which is a 16% increase year-over-year and earnings grew by 23% year-over-year to US$174 million.

Country wise distribution list for Samsung Galaxy Note III leaked

Curious to know whether you’ll be getting the Exynos Octa Core powered variant of Samsung’s next top of the range phablet or will you be using a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 powered variant ? SamMobile claim to have got their hands on a country wise distribution list of said handset that will inform you exactly which variant you’ll be getting.

The report goes on to state that the LTE variant of the handset ie SM-N9005 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974) processor clocked at 2.3Ghz and will be paired with an Adreno 330 GPU. It will feature 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM. While this will carry on in the 3G variant as well, the processor will be switched with the Samsung Exynos 5420 Octa Core CPU and will be paired with the Mali-T628 MP6 GPU. China will also be getting a dual SIM version of the handset that will also have the Exynos 5420 Octa Core CPU. Sony Xperia M now available in India for Rs. 12990


Sony Xperia M that was announced back in June, is now available in India from online retailer Saholic. It has a 4.0-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8227 processor with Adreno 305 GPU and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and 720p HD video recording and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. iBall has launched the Slide i9018, a new tablet in the Slide series.  It has a has a 9-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capactive multi-touch IPS display and is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2.2. (Jelly Bean). It has a 2-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. It  comes with Bluetooth support and an HDMI support, but it doesn’t have a SIM card slot.
