YU just launched YUTOPIA (YU5050), the company’s flagship smartphone, as it promised. It has a 5.2-inch (1440 x 2560 pixels) Quad HD IPS display with 91% NTSC color gamut from Sharp, is powered by an Octa-Core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and runs on Cyanogen OS 12.1 based on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop). It features a 21-megapixel auto focus rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, Sony Exmor RS IMX230 sensor, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Sony launched the Xperia Z5 Dual (E6683), its flagship smartphone in India for Rs. 52,990 back in October. We brought you the review of the smartphone earlier this week, here we have the battery life test results from the smartphone. It  packs a 2900mAh built-in battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 support. This is actually less than the 3100mAh battery on the Xperia Z3. It has a 5.2-inch 1080p display, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 810 processor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop).

Microsoft Lumia 650 with 5-inch HD display surfaces in new render

First render of the Microsoft Lumia 650 smartphone codenamed Saana surfaced back in October, now a new render of the smartphone in White color has surfaced in China (Via). It reveals that the smartphone will have a 5-inch HD screen, as earlier rumors revealed. The date on the lockscreen shows 13th December, so the smartphone can be expected by the end of this month. Tap to Translate for Android to offer instant translation within apps, coming in Q1 2016

At the Google for India event in Delhi, Google announced that it will release a new feature called Tap to Translate that allows the instant translation of any text on the Android phone. This new feature, you can copy text anywhere on your Android phone and instantly get the translation. Google said that the Translate app will also be updated to offer real time translation in Hindi. It demoed the real-time translation and Tap to Translate features at the event.

Google to launch free RailWire WiFi in train stations in India starting from Jan 2016

Google announced back in September that it will launch a new project to provide high-speed public Wi-Fi in 400 train stations across India, with 100 stations operational by the end of 2016. At the Google for India press event in Delhi, Google said that it is is working with Indian Railways and Railtel to launch RailWire Wifi to provide free WiFi in train stations in January 2016. At the Google for India event today in Delhi, Caesar Sengupta, Product Management Director, Google said that Asus will launch its Chromebit compact stick running Chrome OS in India in January 2016. The Chromebit plugs directly into the HDMI port on a TV or monitor to turn it into a desktop PC offering 1080p output. It is compact and has a fan-less design.
