HTC has announced financial results for Q1 2016. The Taiwanese smartphone maker has recorded $454 million (NT$14.8 billion) in revenue, down 64% as it was $1.3 billion (NT$41.52 billion) in Q1 2015.

Google has launched RailWire free WiFi service across five more railway stations in India. The service under which Indian Railways, RailTel and Google provide free WiFi to passengers has now expanded to Ujjain, Jaipur, Patna, Guwahati and Allahabad railway stations.

Xiaomi just announced Mi Max, the company’s first phablet at an event in China. It has a 6.44-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display, is powered by an Hexa-Core Snapdragon 650 or Octa-Core Snapdragon 652 SoCs, runs on MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with One-handed mode and shortcut dock to launch apps easily. It has a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It also has a fingerprint sensor on the back. Lenovo has launched its Zuk Z1 smartphone in India in a crowd-sourced launch, as it had promised. The smartphone was introduced back in August last year, packs a 5.5-inch 1080p display, is powered by Snapdragon 801 SoC, packs 3GB of RAM, runs on Cyanogen OS 12.1 based on Andriod 5.1 (Lollipop), has a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

Microsoft is rumored to be working on the Surface Book 2, successor of last year’s Surface Book, it’s first laptop. The Surface Book has a 13.5-inch (3000 x 2000 pixels) 3:2, but the Surface Book 2 is rumored to come with a 4K display and could also feature USB Type-C port for faster data transfer speeds, and probably for a secondary display.
