OPPO has introduced A59, the company’s latest smartphone in the A series in China. It has a 5.5-inch HD 2.5D curved glass screen, is powered by a octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor, runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Color OS 3.0, has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. OPPO has introduced FC Barcelona edition of the F1 Plus Plus smartphone, few months after introducing the R7 Plus FC Barcelona Edition. It features a blue-and-red color scheme and an 18K gold-plated club insignia on the back of the smartphone It also has FC Barcelona-themed UI and an exclusive case sporting laser-printed signatures from Barcelona’s top players, namely: Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Neymar, Andres Iniesta and Ivan Rakitić. Specifications of the smartphone are similar to the original F1 Plus. When we reviewed the OPPO  F1 sometime back, we observed that it was an above average device which had a good balance of performance and hardware quality with design sensibilities thrown in for good measure. OPPO unveiled the F1 Plus smartphone at the F1 launch in India earlier this year. Today the company has launched the smartphone in the country, which is the same OPPO R9 smartphone that was unveiled in China last month. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p display with 1.66mm ultra-narrow frame and 77.68% screen-to-body ratio, is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P10 processor, has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, PDAF and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. OPPO exclusive stores launched in Chennai and Jaipur

OPPO India continues its retail expansion plans for India by launching OPPO exclusive store in Chennai and Jaipur. The Chennai store was inaugurated by Indian cricketer Yusuf Pathan and the Jaipur store was inaugurated by his brother  Irfan Pathan. OPPO is the official global partner of ICC in the mobile category for four years supporting ICC WT20 2016. OPPO R9 with 16MP front camera launching in India on April 5 [Update]

Update: OPPO has shared a teaser in Indonesia, so it will likely launch the R9 as F1 Plus in India, as it had promised earlier this year at the F1 launch event.

OPPO has sent out invites for the launch of R9, its flagship selfie-focused smartphone in India on April 5th. Even though the invite just says it will be a camera phone, OPPO’s teasers clear indicate that it is indeed the R9 that is coming next week. It is also expected to launch the R9 Plus along with the R9 that also has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. Both these that were introduced in China earlier this month have a fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button that can unlock the phone in just 0.2 seconds.

It recently launched exclusive F1 ICC WT20 limited edition smartphone with T20 world cup logo on its rear body, gift kit which includes ICC WT20 2016 key chain, selfie stick to click your selfies with a range and a back cover showcasing the ICC logo in India.

The OPPO R9 has a 5.5-inch 1080p display with 1.66mm ultra-narrow frame and 77.68% screen-to-body ratio, is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P10 processor, has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and PDAF. The OPPO R9 Plus has a 6-inch 1080p display with 79.3% screen-to-body ratio, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 652 processor and has a 16-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX298 sensor, phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF).

OPPO R9 and R9 Plus complete specs leak out ahead of March 17 announcement

OPPO teased its camera-focused R9 and R9 plus smartphones last month. At that time some specifications of the smartphone leaked. Earlier this month both the smartphone got certified by TENAA in China revealing most specfications. Now the complete specifications of these smartphones have surfaced, ahead of the official announcement on March 17th.

OPPO teased its upcoming flagship R9 smartphone recently. Now both the R9 and R9 Plus smartphones have been certified on TENAA in China. These smartphones have a 5.5-inch and 6-inch 1080p AMOLED displays, respectively as rumored earlier, but doesn’t seem to have a quad-core Snapdragon 820 or Deca-Core Helio X20 SoC. OPPO today teased its upcoming R9 camera-focused smartphone. Even though OPPO did not reveal the announcement date, it just said that the event will be scheduled in the Spring, which starts in March. The teaser hints at a sleek metal body and SIM slot on the right side of the phone. OPPO unveiled the R7 and R7 Plus smartphones back in May last year.
