OPPO’s upcoming smartphone will be the first to launch with Corning Gorilla Glass 6

Corning Incorporated introduced the Gorilla Glass 6 with up to 2x better durability compared to Gorilla Glass 5, last month. Today it has announced that OPPO Mobile will be the first mobile device manufacturer to adopt Corning Gorilla Glass 6 on its upcoming model slated for release in the coming weeks. This will likely be the F9 and F9 Pro that are expected to launch in India and several other countries this month. OPPO A3s with 6.2-inch 19:9 display, dual rear cameras, 4230mAh battery launched in India [Update: 3GB RAM, 32GB storage version launched for Rs. 13990]

Update: OPPO has launched the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage version of the A3s smartphone in India for Rs. 13990. It is now available from offline stores, and should be available from Flipkart as well soon.

OPPO F9 and F9 Pro with notch display, dual rear cameras teased, expected to launch in India in August

OPPO has started teasing the F9 and F9 Pro, the company’s upcoming mid-range smartphones in the ‘F series’ in Malaysia and India. These teasers show a notch display like Sharp or Essential smartphones and dual rear cameras. These look similar to the models PBCM00 and PBCT00 that were certified recently and are expected to be introduced in China as R17 and R17 Pro. The F9 Pro will come with VOOC Flash charge that promises 2 hours aof talk time in 5-minute charge.

OPPO R17 with 6.3-inch display gets certified, R17 PRO with Snapdragon 710, 3D face unlock surfaces

OPPO R17 with model numbers PBCM00 and PBCT00 has been certified and will be the successor of  R15 series that were introduced earlier this year, skipping the R16. This reveals a 6.3-inch display, which could feature 19:9 aspect ratio OLED display with a notch, dual rear cameras,  156.7x74x7.9mm dimensions and a 3415mAh battery.

OPPO Realme 1 sales cross 4 lakh in 40 days of launch, promises Android P update

OPPO and Amazon India partnered to launch Realme 1 under the new Realme smartphone brand back in May. Today the company has announced that it has sold 4 lakh units of the smartphone in just 40 days of launch, with the 3+32GB variant being completely sold out. OPPO Find X with 6.42-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, Snapdragon 845, 8GB RAM, 3D face unlock launched in India for Rs. 59990

OPPO has launched its flagship Find X smartphone at an event in India, as it had promised. It has a 6.42-inch Full HD+ AMOLED Panoramic Arc Screen with 19:5:9 aspect ratio and 93.8% screen-to-body ratio, is powered by Snapdragon 845 with 8GB of RAM and runs Android 8.1 (Oreo) with ColorOS 5.1 on top. It has a motorized sliding dual rear cameras with a 16-megapixel primary and a 20-megapixel secondary camera set up with LED flash, OIS, AI portraits and AI Scene Recognition technology that can identify 800 scenes. The company says that the sliding mechanism has been tested over 300,000 times for durability. OPPO A5 with 6.2-inch 19:9 FullView display, dual rear cameras, Android 8.1, 4230mAh battery announced

After rumors and certification, OPPO has officially announced the A5, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone in China. It has a 6.2-inch HD+ 19:9 aspect ratio display with a notch and  87.8% screen-to-body ratio, is powered by Snapdragon 450 with 4GB of RAM and runs ColorOS 5.1 based on Android 8.1 (Oreo). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera along with a secondary 2-megapixel camera for portrait shots and an 8-megapixel front camera with AI beautify features that intelligently recognizes 296 facial features. OPPO O-Free Wireless Bluetooth Headset with translation, voice assistant announced

At the Find X launch event in China, OPPO also introduced O-Free Wireless Bluetooth Headset. It has a compact, ultra-light weight design and is comfortable to use. It has a built-in smart chip that synchronizes the left and right ear sounds with the phone without delay. It has ultra-low power consumption and lets you easily adjust volume, playback, and changing songs with simple operation. This uses Qualcomm QCC3026 SoC that was introduced today.

OPPO Find X and Find X Lamborghini Edition launched in China, price and availability revealed

OPPO introduced its flagship Find X  and Lamborghini Limited Edition with an unique slider camera design at its global event in Paris last week. Today, as promised, the company has launched the phones in China, and also revealed the availability details, which is a month earlier before it starts rolling out in Europe. As usual, it is cheaper compared to the Europe pricing.

OPPO Find X Lamborghini Limited Edition with carbon fiber back, 512GB storage, 0 to 100% SuperVOOC flash charge in 35 minutes announced

Along with the standard OPPO Find X, OPPO also introduced the Lamborghini Limited Edition version of the smartphone at its Paris event. The phone features classic carbon fiber textured back with a 3D Lamborghini car logo on it. It also has the long-awaited Super VOOC Flash Charge technology that was introduced at the MWC 2016.

OPPO Find X to feature 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, Snapdragon 845, 8GB RAM, pop-up front and rear cameras

OPPO will introduce its flagship Find X smartphone at a global event in Paris, France later today. Now The Verge has posted hands-on impressions of the smartphone that reveals all the specifications. As rumoured, the phone features a pop-up front and rear cameras that are motorized, so it doesn’t have a notch for the 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen. It still has narrow bezels on the top for the earpiece. The phone also has 3D facial scanning system for biometric authentication, and will not come with a fingerprint sensor or 5x dual-camera zoom.

OPPO schedules an event in India on July 12, Find X with bezel-less display expected

OPPO is all set to introduce its flagship Find X smartphone at a global event in Paris, France later today. The company has sent out invites for the launch of a smartphone in India on July 12. Even though the invite doesn’t say that it will be the Find X, the caption “Find what you have have been looking for until now” hints at the launch of the next-generation Find series smartphone.

OPPO Find X with bezel-less display, unique slider camera design surfaces; will have 93.8% screen-to-body ratio

Update: After a teaser OPPO has confirmed that the Find X will have a 93.8% screen-to-body ratio, which should be the highest on a smartphone till date. New images that have surfaced clearly shows unique slider design to hide both the front and rear cameras.

Earlier: OPPO smartphones with model numbers PBAM00 / PBAT00 have been certified by TENAA in China. This reveals a budget smartphone with a 6.2-inch HD+ screen with 19:9 aspect ratio, minimal bezels, 1.8GHz Octa-Core SoC, which could be Snapdragon 450,  Android 8.1 (Oreo) with ColorOS 5.0, 13-megapixel rear camera along with a secondary 2-megapixel camera for portrait shots. It will come with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, and will like come with face unlock, however it doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor.
