The Nokia 500 features a 3.2 inch touchscreen display, with a screen resolution of 640 x 360 pixels, 5 megapixel auto-focus camera, 2 GB internal memory, 32 GB expandable memory, 3.5 mm audio jack, Wi-Fi, 3G Connectivity, 5-7 hours of talk time, 450+ hours of standby time and much more. Nokia 500 – 1GHz Symbian Anna Phone Launched

Nokia just launched a new generation low end touchscreen handset. Dubbed the Nokia 500 , it comes with the new generation 1Ghz class processors. Symbian Anna comes preloaded on the device. The screen is a 3.2″ capacitive multi touch panel with nHD resolution. On the back , users can find a 5MP ~~Autofocus~~ EDoF/Fixed focus camera unit.

IDC : Mobile Phone Market Q2 2011 – Nokia, Samsung, LG top mobile phone vendors by shipments

According to report by Research Firm IDC (International Data Corporation) the Worldwide mobile phone market grew 11.3% year over year in the 2nd quarter of 2011 (2Q11) with the worldwide shipment of 328.4 million units. But, this is low compared to the 16.8% growth in the 1st quarter of 2011 (1Q11), that had worldwide shipment of 365.4 million units. We want Mugen Batteries for our Nokia N8!

We here at Fone Arena are big fans of Mugen Power Batteries, this uprising company from the east, providing us power-hungry geeks with more juice for all our favourite devices, most notably batteries for smartphones. Over at the Mugen Website you will be able to find extended batteries for all types of smartphones, most of them even having two options offered. Normally Mugen would have one OEM-sized version, and a bigger battery, with imense power (for example an insane 4.800mAh battery for the Motorola Atrix!). Bloomberg: Samsung Smartphone sales may have surpassed Apple and Nokia

Samsung may have surpassed the sales of the Apple and Nokia smartphones in the second quarter of 2011 reports Bloomberg. Samsung is estimated to have sold between 18 million and 21 million smartphones globally in the April-June quarter, while Nokia sold 16.7 million and Apple sold 20.3 million iPhones. Nokia declares operating loss of 487 million euros in Q2

Nokia today declared an operating loss of 487 million euros in Q2.The company managed to ship 88.5 million phones in the quarter and had net sales of 9.3 billion euros but the handset maker is struggling to make a profit.Looks like Nokia CEO Stephen Elop has some tough days ahead of him.

Nokia SeaRay Spotted Running WP7 Mango In New Video

A new video has emerged on Youtube starring the long awaited Nokia Windows Phone 7 device dubbed the Sea Ray. The video appears to have been shot in a development factory in Hong Kong or China. It is definitely reassuring to spot the hardware buttons at the bottom of the device laying rest to the claims of virtual buttons. Video embedded after the jump.
