Nokia 500 – 1GHz Symbian Anna Phone Launched


Nokia just launched a new generation low end touchscreen handset. Dubbed the Nokia 500 , it comes with the new generation 1Ghz class processors. Symbian Anna comes preloaded on the device.  The screen is a 3.2″ capacitive multi touch panel with nHD resolution. On the back , users can find a 5MP Autofocus EDoF/Fixed focus camera unit.

2GB of storage is built into the phone which can be further expanded by upto 32GB via a microSD card. Penta-band radios are included just like the Nokia N8 and other S^3 phones. The phone also supports 3G data upto HSUPA speeds. The phone measures 111.3 x 53.8 x 14.1mm and weighs in at 93g making it the lightest S^3 phone so far.

The phone comes in two colors ie black and white with multiple changeable covers included. The battery will see you through 5-7 hours talk time, 450+ hours in standby mode or up to 35 hours of music playback. The phone which has been priced at just €150 will be available starting Q3 this year.
