LG has released new Quick Cover case for the Optimus G in Korea. They come in 7 colors, including 5 shiny variants and two patterned variants. The Quick Cover case has a semiconductor device mounted on a magnetic substance on the cover, that makes the screen turn off immediately when closed, and wake up immediately when opened. LG LTE smartphone sales cross 10 million units globally

LG Electronics has announced that they have sold more than 10 million LTE smartphones globally. LG announced the Optimus LTE, their first LTE smartphone in Korea back in October 2011, and shipped over 600,000 units in Korea alone in just 100 days after the launch. The global shipments of Optimus LTE crossed the 1 million mark last January. LG Optimus F7 Hands On

LG showed off its new F7 handset here at the Mobile World Congress. The handset is a part of their upper middle range strategy and has a large 4.7″ 720p display.

The screen is of the IPS variety and offers pretty good viewing angles. We quite liked the feel of the device with runs on Android 4.1.2 though it would benefit from the use of slightly higher end materials. Continue reading “LG Optimus F7 Hands On”

LG Optimus L3 II global roll out begins this week starting from Brazil


LG unveiled the Optimus L3 II along with the other L Series II devices last month, and the LG Optimus L7 II went on sale first Russia. Now LG has announced that the Optimus L3 II would go on sale globally from this week. LG showcased all the L Series II devices and the new F Series devices at the MWC 2013 this week. LG Optimus G launched in India for Rs. 34500


LG has officially launched the Optimus G (E975) in India. The Optimus G went on sale in India last week. It comes with a 4.7-inch (1280 x 768 pixels) True HD IPS + Display with 15:9 aspect ratio, 550 nits brightness and Gorilla Glass 2 protection, powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 APQ8064 processor with Adreno 320 GPU and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) with LG  Optimus 3.0 UI on top. LG rolls out Android 4.1 update for Optimus Vu 2 in Korea

LG has started rolling out Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update for the Optimus Vu 2 in Korea. The LG Optimus Vu 2 was launched in Korea back in September with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). LG confirmed Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update for range of high-end devices including, Optimus LTE 2, Optimus G, Optimus Vu and Optimus Vu 2 last year. LG Electronics has announced that they have acquired webOS operating system technology from HP that include, source code, associated documentation, engineering talent and related websites associated with webOS for development of next-generation Smart TV technology. LG unveils World’s smallest Wireless Charger WCP-300

LG has releases a new Wireless Charging Pad (WCP-300), which is just 6.98 cm in diameter. LG claims that it is the world’s smallest wireless charger. Even though it is small in size, it would would offer better charging efficiency than the existing LG wireless chargers with up to 1.7 times large area with its circular design. LG Optimus L3 II Photo Gallery

LG unveiled the Optimus L3 II, an entry-level Android smartphone and the successor of the Optimus L3 last week.  It has a 3.2-inch (320 x 240 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS display, powered by a 1 GHz processor and comes with a 1540 mAh battery.
